The car had been dry stored in a farm building (not barn) near Exeter for about 27 years until I purchased it two years ago.
I have spent that time refurbishing to a pretty good standard. It is not concourse condition, but looks good and runs well.
I don't have original log book, but do have an original Vehicle Registration Document from 1987 as well as an up-to-date document, an MoT certificate from 1987 and a couple of tax discs from the 1980's.Car has a new MoT.
I also have a thorough portfolio of invoices and work I have carried out.
I have gone through pretty much everything mechanically; refurbished brake assemblies including new brake discs, electrical items and removed the cylinder heads, re-ground valve seats and refurbished both carbs.
The seats are original, were in pretty good nick, but needed cleaning and some re-colouring.
Brand new carpets fitted and whole trim inside re-done by me. This includes new door seals and furflex, new headlining, all wood sanded and re-varnished, trim panels recovered except door ones which are original but re-coloured.It has had a re-spray to midnight blue and a lot of re-chroming (bumpers, lights handles, etc)
Engine runs sweetly and gearbox operates correctly. I have fitted a new petrol tank and sender and a new fuel pump.
