1971 Jaguar E-Type Convertible

Trade Classics > Auctions > 1971 Jaguar E-Type Convertible

BARNFIND 1970 Jaguar E-Type Convertible coming soon to auction.

In dry storage for many many years, originally willow green, US spec car imported from Canada with NOVA clearance papers in place.

The car is very original and unrestored but does need total restoration.

Not registered, not running, not driving and currently fitted with a 289 V8 Mustang engine and Tremec 4 speed. But don’t worry, as this will be removed and instead supplied with a non matching numbers but period correct spec 9:1 ratio 4.2 E Type engine (7E prefix) and intake system (unless you wanted the ford engine instead!). The ford engine installation has not affected the under bonnet frames at all and has a very small affect to the transmission tunnel top only.

The seats are non factory bucket seats but otherwise the car is a complete & authentic E-Type convertible.

The body of the car is significantly rusty and a full rebuild should be anticipated, this is a rare opportunity to purchase an ideal restoration project in the UK at an affordable price!

This has to be a decent project for someone. It’ll go at a decent low price in my view – so enough in it to make a nice example. Lots of work – but recoverable in my view.
