After searching high and low Phil finally found the Porsche 968 club sport he was looking for, the colour (Guards Red), the condition, together with comprehensive service history records that came with the car checked every box.
Phil has owned the car just under 2 years and in that time treated it to a full panel body spray in 2017, services and recently had the ignition system overhauled by a classic Porsche specialist.
However due to other projects and space, Phil has decided to part ways and is looking for a new enthusiast to use, love and cherish this superb rare classic.

Wheels & Tyres
The car is sitting on lovely gloss black wheels with 17” Falken FK452, 225 front, 255 at the back that are all in excellent condition. Please take a look at the photos and video to see in more detail.
The bodywork on this example is in excellent condition. We conducted our usual review of the bodywork, filming up and down all the panels, please watch it to review the car’s condition. The panel gaps and shut-lines all looked even on the car.
The red paint and finish across the car is great. It had a complete panel respray in 2017 and the finish is even. We didn’t spot any major scratches on the car, one minor mark on the passenger door shuts from time gone by clambering into the bucket seats. Glass and Trim
All of the trim and the glass on the car looked great. with the rubber seals looking quite fresh too. There is a little section of de-lamination on the front screen which is usual on a car of this age.
The car comes with matching black trim and carpets throughout to continue the black on red theme. The car features manually adjustable lightweight Recaro racing seats with guards red backs and 944 S2 door cards that all Club Sport’s had to reduce the weight. Also manual wind windows were fitted to Club Sports in the interest of weight saving.
Seats and Carpets
In black cloth; both the drivers and passengers seats look in great condition. There is not much wear visible in the normal spots. The carpets look in good condition too.
The dash which is also wrapped in black and as with the rest of the cabin, it presents itself in great condition. Please take a look at the pictures.
Steering Wheel / Gear Stick
Club Sport models were different with thicker-rimmed three-spoke sports steering wheel with no airbag. This one is in great condition, I noticed some wear on the gear stick, please see the photographs and videos for a close detailed.
Phil’s car is powered by an 3.0L inline-four engine with a 6 speed gearbox. We put the car through its paces on the road – please watch the video.
Engine and Gearbox
Phil has maintained the car every year, ensuring a service has been completed to keep the car running right. We took the car on our usual run, and carried out the usual cold start test. The car performed just as expected – watch the video to see it in action. On start up, there is a slight rattle from the exhaust as you’ll hear in the videos – we think it may be a lose cover, however, Phil is investigating and will remedy before sale (even if it needs a new exhaust).
Suspension and Brakes
As a passenger it felt like the suspension performed correctly as we drove around the Devonshire countryside. When coming up to junctions and stopping, the car performed as it should, please view examples in the media section.
A quick drive on some country lanes, and some traffic through the little villages, the car pulled us along in comfort and speed just like a 968 from this era should.
Electrics and Other
Being the Club Sport version luxury electrics have been stripped to save weight, however the few electric components that it has, Phil reported that everything is working as it should with the car.
Phil has owned this car for just under 2 years and 13 former keepers before him. There is an extensive history with the car that shows the level of care taken. Please take a look at the images to see all the service history, MOT records and invoices that show important work like clutch replacement.
The car is in original mechanical specification with the limited slip differential (M220) factory option, the only alterations include genuine M030 brakes and front and rear M030 anti roll bars.

The car is showing just over 118,777 miles as of 02.06.2019.

This is a rare Porsche – only 179 Club Sports were produced between 1992 and 1995. So finding a genuine and well looked after example is difficult, but when they do come to market then they attract a lot of interest together with a pricing premium over other 968 variants.
This really is a lovely original and genuine example that is ready to be enjoyed by a new owner.
Phil has set a very realistic reserve price that means this car will sell soon – if you’re after a Club Sport then this is the one to own, and don’t let it get away – you never know when you’ll see a good one again.
