Classic Car Events 2020 Part 1

Car meets, racing days and a good old coffee are the perfect place to connect with like minded petrol heads to share stories, tips, tricks and create long lasting friendships!

Mike here at TC met one of his closest friends at a Japanese car owners meet in 2001 at the Ace Cafe in London, and we all have similar car-made-buddies, so we can tell you it’s a great move to jump in your car, clean it up to sparkle and go get out there into the car community.

The beauty of the car community is that although it’s kept up with modern times and enjoys a massive online presence in terms of forums, social media and YouTube channels, there is no replacement for turning up in the flesh to talk motors and life – and showing off your pride and joy.

The world is your oyster in 2020, so here at TC we thought we would give you a heads up on all pearls where you can rock up with your mechanical-sidekick and meet some great folk. Part 1 of our calendar will outline our favourite events to go to up until the end of June, keep posted as we will have more for you as we approach the second half of the year.

All titles and photographs will direct you to the event organisers official website.

Bicester Heritage Sunday Scramble

26 April 2020, Bicester Heritage, Oxfordshire, UK
This show has really took off since its inception in 2014, where they attracted 400 visitors. Now grown to almost 7,000 enthusiasts you may need to act quickly if you want a ticket as October’s instalment eventually sold out before the day. We at TC have had the pleasure of going to one of the shows last year and it was truly a good old scramble of classic cars from all eras and countries.

Drive it Day

26 April 2020, all across the UK
The Bicester Heritage coincides with this day in the classic car calendar so if you are unable to attend that particular car meet, there are plenty of other events across the country that you will be able to go to. Ask you members’ club if they have anything special planned for it – or alternatively organise something yourself, there will be so many vintage cars out that day. Maybe your event might make our list in the future.

Donington Historic Festival

1-3 May 2020, Donington Park, Leicestershire, UK
On their 10th anniversary, expect something unique and special at the event. Full details are yet to be released so stay tuned on their website that will provide you with developments of this very special day. Last year, 15 grids competed across 18 races in a vast range of classes and eras and 2020 will be no different.

We hope you take a closer look at all the full details on all the organisers’ website where you can book tickets and look at the schedules in greater detail. We are looking forward to attending some of these shows ourselves and we hope to see you there at some of them to talk about what we all truly love – family…. errr.. I mean CLASSICS!
