Ashley is our latest recruit, having joined us in August 2025, and he covers the East Midlands. He is a professional motorsport photographer with over a decade of experience capturing the energy, precision, and passion that define the world of racing.
Ashley has been passionate about automotive and motorsport from a young age. He loved tinkering with cars and bikes, and while he initially considered a career in mechanics, his creative eye naturally led him to automotive and motorsport photography, combining his love of vehicles with his skill behind the camera.
Ashley shoots with mirrorless Sony cameras, primarily using an A7R IV, and also has an A7R II.
Ashley currently drives a Honda Odyssey and has previously owned a classic Mini Mayfair, Triumph GT6, Volkswagen Golf R32 Mk5, and a Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X – a varied mix of classics and modern classics.
A dream shoot for Ashley would be the original Nissan Skyline R32 HKS race car in Japan, or the Mazda 787B at Le Mans. He would also love to one day own a Nissan Skyline GT-R (R32) or a Mazda RX-3.
Ashley is still building up his portfolio with us, however, a recent consignment that stands out is the stunning 1981 Ford Fiesta Supersport – a rare car, shot perfectly and presented beautifully.
Some of his other most memorable shoots include a Porsche 911 Turbo (997) at Donington Park during his first year, and photographing Lewis Hamilton’s Formula Renault Tatuus for Motorsport Magazine. Another favourite was a few months ago, capturing an Aston Martin Virage Widebody — a very special car in a stunning location.
His favourite shot of all time is of the Mazda 787B at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, capturing flames from the exhaust while panning – a truly striking image.
