Introduction
Isaac Wass
With a production run of over 20 years and over 1.6M sold, this is an iconic example of British Motoring Heritage.
The Morris Minor was produced between 1948 - 1971 and saw numerous revisions throughout that time. This particular example is a 1970 Traveller 1000, which came from the factory with "Almond Green" paintwork, a 1098cc engine, and the immediately recognisable wooden framed rear end.
This particular example comes to us from ~2.5 year ownership, with just 6 former keepers before. It is a restored example, brought as a project by the vendor, who has put this beautiful bit of British motoring history back on the road. The works include; restored bodywork, replacement engine, new clutch, brakes renewed, upgraded alternator, new radiator and a brand new wiring loom. All of this work leaves this Traveller in beautiful nick and ready for the new custodian to use and enjoy.
This listing was written from information supplied by Isaac after meeting Jim the owner, and having visited and photographed the vehicle.

Hi, sorry I’m a bit confused about the car tax. It says in the listing that the reg date is 17.03.1998 and not 1970 at the car is SORN. Is the car liable for tax or not? Thanks, Keith.
Hi Keith
Not sure why it is showing 1998, I am looking at the registration document now and it was first registered 17/03/1970 so does not need road tax.
Sorry for any confusion.
Jim
Good evening/morning – I found your traveller on eby.co.uk but it said, expressly, that it is a classified ad NOT an auction. But your listing advised going to TRADE CLASSICS for more info and photos. There to my surprise it states that is in an AUCTION that ends in less than 48 hours! I planned to have a mechanic come out an inspect it, but am not sure they can get there in time. Why the complete contradiction? Is it in an AUCTION or not? Many thanks and best wishes. Please telephone me at any hour and leave a message.… Read more »

Give me a time late morning or aft tomorrow Tuesday…have you a reserve set or is it on the highest bid a confirmed sale…..again email if preferred
Hi John the engine has only completed less than 10 miles since it has been fitted, the engine is brand new, it runs very sweetly but would suggest a running in period although having said that these new engines don’t need as much of a running in as they used to when first manufactured.
There is no mad rush to collect the car, so week commencing 6th November will not be an issue.
