Has the car been resprayed, and if so when please?

Hello Paul, The car has never been damaged or resprayed and still wears the same factory colour paint inside and out with only a couple of minor surface blemishes, [ noted in the description ]. The paintwork still has a remarkable shine for a 40 year old car, one of BL’s better ones! The photos are a good representation of the paints condition and there is no evidence of any paint bubbling or corrosion anywhere which is a testament to the wax injection and bodywork rust protection which would appear to be from new. Am I right to assume that the Mini does NOT need an MoT any more, nor pay for RFL?

Hello Allan, Thank you for your interest in the Mini. The first registration date is December 1981. His final MOT is due in August 2021 along with the final RFT. A previous owner prior to 2008 must have delayed the tax and MOT for six months at some point which is why the MOT and RFT dates don’t fall in December. A new owner should be able to get a refund on the remaining tax from August to December but I doubt if there would be a refund for the August MOT. At least any new owner would have the… Read more »
