The Bentley Arnage was introduced in 1998 and produced until 2009. It was the first newly designed car for the marque since 1980. The Arnage T was produced from 2002 and developed to be a more sportier variant of the Arnage.

The T featured twin-turbochargers and a tuned engine with a higher 450BHP output. It was claimed to be the most powerful road-going Bentley at its launch with a 0 to 60 speed of 5.5 seconds and a top speed of 170mph. Quite a feat when you look at the size of the car and how the interior is trimmed.

This smart example finished in the Bentley colour of "Black Velvet" and trimmed with grey leather really looks the part. Coming out of 10 years ownership, it transported its passengers for miles and miles in absolute luxury.

Jan's been the proud owner of this powerful Arnage T for the past ~11 years. Jan has made sure the car is given the servicing needs and attention required on an almost annual basis. With a fully stamped service book to put the new buyers at ease, he assures us the car runs and drives exactly as it should - beautifully smooth, and very quick when you want it to be.

A muscular body shape with sporty touches, enter the Bentley Arnage T.

Wheels and Tyres

An excellent set of 19" Bentley alloys found on all four corners of this Arnage T, each one is wrapped in Pirelli P-Zero Asimmectrico with plenty of tread for the new owner.

Each wheel looks in excellent condition, you'll have to look really closely to spot any nicks in them, they really give the car a very sporty look and feel. Please see all the exterior image to appreciate each wheel.

Bodywork

All the panels gaps look tight and correct as you would expect from a car of this calibre. During our consignment, we noticed a little bubbling around the keyhole, and some parking related marks on the rear.

Each panel is nicely in line with the age and mileage of the car, please view the exterior videos to appreciate the bodywork on this car.

Paint

Finished a beautiful "Black Velvet", which has hints of burgundy/aubergine in the paintwork. As you would expect from a luxury full-size Bentley the paint is even in finish and colour across all the panels.

The only thing to note are some mileage related stone chips on the front end, and some minor lacquer peel on the wing mirrors, overall the paintwork is in really good condition.

Glass and Trim

Around the car, all the chrome trim is in great condition and the glass looks excellent too, in line with the rest of the exterior.

Interior

The highest quality leather with a wood-clad interior that's so quintessentially British.

Seats and Carpets

Finished in a grey leather with the unmissable Bentley diamond-in-diamond quilt stitching, the seats look great and have been really looked after by Jan over his 11 years of ownership. There are some visible creases on each seat in line with the car's mileage and age.

We love the deep burgundy carpets that this car is equipped with and all the little luxurious touches, such as the chromed interior door handles and speakers. The carpets would benefit from a light detail. Please see all the images and videos for a full interior tour.

Dashboard

We like the unique layout of the Arnage's dashboard, two large dials showing the speed and rev counter, with all the other driver details in the centre console - a timeless design that reminds us of the much earlier predecessors.

All the dials are clean, clear and Jan reports they're all working as they should.

Steering Wheel / Gear Stick

A lovely contrasting leather burgundy steering wheel puts you in full control of the Arnage T.

Coupled with an automatic gear selector, both of which are in excellent condition for their age and mileage.

Mechanics

6.75L of muscle power, the twin-turbos help push out 450BHP on this luxurious saloon.

Engine and Gearbox

The mighty 6.75L twin-turbocharged V8 made the Arnage T the most powerful road-going Bentley at the time. The car featured a tuned engine and high power output of 450bhp. This luxury saloon has a 0-60 speed of 5.5s and a top speed of a staggering 170mph.

Jan reports that the engine and gearbox are very smooth, as you would expect, and everything is working as it should. This car was last serviced in August 2020 by the same Bentley specialists Jan has had the car maintained by over his ownership.

Suspension and Brakes

The Arnage T is fitted with such large brake discs to cope with the extra weight of the 6.75L V8 and luxurious additional options fitted.

Jan reports a very smooth and steady ride in the Arnage T, he mentions the suspension and brakes are working exactly as you would expect and are always given the attention they deserve.

The Drive

Don't let the looks deceive you, under the luxurious skin is a tuned and roaring twin-turbo'd 6.75L V8 attached to a ZF automatic box to handle and deliver the power to the road.

This smooth and refined engine will take you to 60mph in just 5.5 seconds in a sophisticated and stylish manner.

Electrics and Other

Jan reports all the electrics are working as you would expect. During our visit, we did notice some minor condensation in the front lights.

Hi Try DG02NNC that’s the number now as for the leak slight bit on sump plug wiped of no more as yet checked oil full.I would normally take it in but not able because of lock down. then badgered into selling by the wife (too many cars) hence on here and was totally impressed with Trade classic very thorough insection and For a 120k car and 2002 it’s in good condition there is a few bits want doing but it’s a Bentley but is a good price can only appreciate in value,they are slowly creeping up now. i AM TOLD IT IS LACK OF USE AN INTERMITTENT FAULT ON A SENSOR, IT RESETS IT’S SELF
SORRY CAN BE MORE SPECIFIC NOT GOT A BENTLEY CODE READER THESE CARS ARE RENOWNED FOR IT ,JUST BEEN OUT IN THE CAR TO THE LOCAL SHOP AND IT IS NOW OFF AGAIN
