Introduction
Rare V12 Cabriolet with Factory equipped Jaguar Sport options and just 34,100 miles recorded from new.
The XJS-C firsts appeared in 1984 with the 3.6 AJ6 engine upfront and in 1985 with magnificent 5.3 V12. The conversion from XJS Coupe into XJS-C for Cabriolet was carried out by Tickford.
The model was dropped with the introduction of the convertible in 1988 after approximately 5,000 were built, the bulk of which were powered by the 3.6l engine. This particular example is a late V12 car, which is said to be one of just 10 RHD cars equipped with the Jaguar Sport body styling (TWR) and Speedline alloy road wheels.
In addition to these rarities, the car has covered a mere 34,099 miles, at the time of writing, with full supporting history. The car was dry stored in Northern Ireland from 2003, when the mileage was 30,423, until it surfaced in 2014. Extensive recommissioning works were carried out and the car MoTd on 18/07/2014 at 30,753. Select Cars of Grimsby spent considerable time and money bringing the car to its peak condition and passed it on to a new owner in 2016 at 31,400 miles. The car has been kept in a dry, weatherproof unit in the intervening period, has never been driven in the rain.
It is, quite simply, stunning. I have not owned the car long, because I took it in part exchange for another rare JAGUAR from my reducing collection.
