The RS6 Avant Plus packs supercar power and performance into a sleek, sporty and practical estate.
Audi used the "Avant" nameplate for its estate cars, but the "Plus" after the RS6 wasn't about extra luggage space. Produced for just six months with only 999 units, the RS6 Plus could challenge supercars of its time while comfortably carrying a family of five and their luggage. Like the standard RS6 Avant (2002-2004), the RS6 Plus had wider, flared wheel arches and a distinctive black-rimmed front grille with a small RS6 badge. The car also featured black roof rails, a small rear spoiler, and a modified exhaust system with oval black tailpipes to handle the extra power. Under the bonnet, the RS6 Plus had a 4.2-litre turbocharged engine, developed by Audi and enhanced by Cosworth, delivering ~30 more BHP than the regular RS6, bringing the Audi up to ~473 BHP overall from the factory, and paired with the same all-wheel-drive system with a Torsen centre differential.
This car comes to market from ~10 year ownership with 4 former keepers logged. This example has had very little in the way of additional non-factory modifications, making it a very original example. Finished in the ever-impressive and popular "Sprint Blue" and with a wealth of factory-fitted optional extras such as leather seats with Alcantara centres, Tiptronic transmission, sports suspension, carbon weave inserts, and an electric slide/tilt sunroof, plus many more features. The car has been well used, covering some ~70,000 miles in the current ownership, and so could benefit from some work to bring it up to a standard it once was.
This listing was written from information supplied by Dom after meeting Ian the owner, and having visited and photographed the vehicle.
