The Morris Minor is a British classic that made its debut at the Earls Court Motor Show in London in 1948. This example is a third-series Minor, known as the 1000 series, in the highly desirable convertible body style. A broad range of colours and trim options were available, helping the car remain competitive and enabling production volumes to grow while maintaining a strong share of the small car market.
This “Moggie” is a genuine convertible and not a converted saloon, this is evidenced by the chassis number beginning FCA. All genuine factory convertibles from 1952-58 had chassis numbers prefixed with FCA. It features a dark red soft top with a bright red interior, offering a striking contrast against its black paintwork. It has been lovingly owned and enjoyed for the past ~21 years, with just 3 former keepers registered. The car also benefits from being fitted with a 1,098cc Gold Seal replacement engine sometime in the 80s by a former keeper.
