Introduction

The Peugeot 205 GTi is a true blue collar hero – one of the real stars of the 80's and 90's hot hatch scene.
The Peugeot 205 GTI, a name that resonates with car enthusiasts and evokes memories of a golden era in hot hatchbacks. It’s a car that, for many, defined the 1980's and early 1990's, blending performance with everyday usability. This well-crafted and stylish car boasts curvaceous lines and balanced proportions. The 205 marked a departure from the conservative design approach of Peugeot's earlier small cars, embracing a bold new design that remained iconic until the introduction of the 206 in 1998.
This particular 205 GTi comes to market from ~20 year family ownership. It started life as a 205 GTi 1.9, and was fitted with the full Dimma bodykit, including Dimma stamped 16" custom split-rims. It had a "Turbo Technics" kit installed on the original block which as was often the case, proved a bit too much power for the standard set-up. Since then, in the current ownership, the engine has been swapped out for a 1.9L Mi16, the car converted to fuel injection, and matching LSD fitted too. It presents well considering it's ~33 years of age, and has had the interior re-upholstered in current ownership too.

Ask Owner
Hi Roy.
was the Dimma Kit fitted by Dimma as I don’t see the Dimma certification plate under the bonnet?
If not who fitted the kit please and do we have the receipt for it?
Thank you

My uncle did make enquiries about the dimma kit and dimma wheel’s at that time when he purchased the car from the dealership. He was assured by them it was the real kit from dimma in Belgium. They told him the company had sold over a thousand kits to over seas buyers. Uncle made more enquiries and was told in the 1980s and 1990s car kits… Read more »
