Jeremy , can you advise as to the door hinges and whether there is any wear in them. Also the doors seem to not quite fit with the lower passenger door liking proud of the rear wing.

Jeremy has asked me to pass on his comment:
The doors are the never been a perfect fit and proud to body.
Please be aware the car is built in panels bolted or welded as was made in the 1950’s as you can see here, not a monocoque modern structure. The problem is the very small hinge carrying a heavy door. and that is main problem why they slightly drop.
The rehang is a very complex exercise and I have not bothered so long as they do not drop and fit adequately. The car has not damaged in any way to cause this

Thanks Jeremy. As Twyford Moors specifically sourced the car for you in 2001 prior to undertaking the full restoration, do you have any of their original acquisition/restoration records other than the few photos of the restoration? Any documentation establishing its identity/history before restoration would be helpful.

The car was originally sold by Henlys Ltd ,London, Welbeck dealer. it was purchased by company executive Alpherson Products, Suffolk 29/3/1955.
The car was possessed for an unclear number but then there is no record of further owners and we think is retained and then stored for many years. The car was purchased by Twyford Ltd in 2001 at my request for good vehicle needed for restoration. I have no detail of use of car 1955-2001 procured by Twyford. The car is full parts with only front bulkhead frame needed to replace .The detail of restoration is shown in many photos with this car specification and done by Twyford.
