First introduced at the 1966 Geneva Motor Show, the Alfa Romeo Spider was based on the underpinnings of the Giulia, initially featuring a 1.6-litre twin-cam engine producing approximately ~108BHP. Production of the Spider continued until 1993 across four generations. While mechanical upgrades were introduced with each iteration, the Pininfarina styling remained relatively consistent—its body lines were unmistakably those of an Alfa Spider.
This particular car is a Series 3 Alfa Romeo Spider Quadrifoglio, which received newly designed side skirts and front and rear spoilers, as well as updated interior trim, featuring grey leather seats and red carpets. Mechanically identical to the Spider Veloce, it features a 2.0-litre engine producing around ~126BHP, sent to the rear wheels via a five-speed manual gearbox.
The Spider comes to market from ~4 year ownership, purchased as a car to work on and enjoy. In current ownership, the car has undergone a major overhaul of the suspension and brakes. This work, on top of various servicing and new clutch in the last 10 years, make it a lovely example to use and enjoy. It is supplied with a current MOT, valid until 10 March 2026.

In your honest opinion, do you think this car is capable of long journeys?
Hello, The car is ready to be enjoyed. I have even changed the diff and gearbox oils. I see no reason that it can’t do longer journeys.
I would say though that if you are planning longer journeys in any classic get use to the car first as they aren’t like modern cars.
Ps even the original Alfa electric aerial works ?

Hi, it wouldn’t be a problem at all to use this car as often as you like. I have had the car for 4 years and spent at least 3 of them meticulously restoring it.
If you haven’t much mechanical knowledge, maybe try to find someone who could look over the photos to give you a better idea of the standard I have carried out my restoration. Hope this helps
I see that there has been substantial work done to the brakes and suspension etc, has any work been carried out on the engine?
Hi thanks for your question.
The work that I have carried out on the engine : Engine flush, then changed the oil and filter.
Due to a small oil leak, I replaced the variable valve timing unit seal.
I also replaced both the D bushes on the rocker cover along with the rocker gasket.
