Originally released in 1936, the Morgan 4/4 has served as one of the world's longest automotive production runs in history. With only a brief pause in manufacturing during the Second World War, the Morgan 4/4 spans a whopping 83 years, with production finally ending in 2019. Having been through a number of revisions during that time, this particular Morgan 4/4 is one of the later 1600 models, and has just achieved historic status. It benefits from a number of manufacturing changes and upgrades, such as the 1.6-litre Ford CVH engine and five-speed manual gearbox. The iconic exterior styling of the Morgan 4/4 is instantly recognisable; the curvaceous front wings, the sloping rear arches, and the retro wire wheel design all come together to form the perfect representation of classic British motoring.

Auction End Time Extended – Important Update

The ash Frame has no issues. Which picture are you looking at. The doors fit perfectly with no play. All hinge pins were renewed with the respay.
Not in reply to a direct question but an observation having reread the text in the advert. – After the full respray and before fitting the black bar between the rear overiders I reversed into a small bollard and dented the number plate alloy apron just above the 0 in the number plate. This was easily straighetend and repainted. During the respray all wings were etch dipped and are perfect with no signs of damage or repair. The only welding visible is that used during original manufacture.
When does the current MOT expire?
The current MOT runs out in June 2025. The car is now Historic and doesn’t need an MOT but at the first oportunity on May 8th it will be renewed and so it will have an MOT through to June 2026.
