Apologies for the delay in responding, I have just returned from holiday.
My knowledge of the (one) previous owner is a bit sketchy I’m afraid, but as I understand it (and may be determined by the fact that the car is in the condition that it is in), is that it was garaged & only driven occasionally (and then only in dry weather), – as I also only drive it in dry weather. The previous owner (so I’m informed) was ill for some time prior to my purchase, this will hopefully explain the low mileage. The car has been thoroughly assessed both by Paul Wright (Trade Classics assessor), and also by an Alfa Romeo specialist that I use, stating that everything is in prime condition. The only item that has been deemed to have deteriorated was the power hood motor which was ‘sticky’, (which is I believe a common problem with the Alfa Spider), I have had this replaced in recent weeks, and all is now in working order. The car has a brand new MOT, service and new timing belt and water pump just prior to listing. In addition the battery was replaced just after I purchased the car (receipts, for all of these are available).
