Hi Philip, thanks for the detailed paperwork. I’ve now reviewed the recent invoices and just wanted to clarify two points before bidding.
The AJTech invoice from 13 April 2026 records engine-management faults for rich mixture on both banks, catalyst efficiency below threshold on both banks, and MAP/MAF correlation at idle. They found and repaired an air leak at the RH airbox/intake pipe, cleared the faults and noted “please monitor”.
Can you confirm whether the engine management light has come back on at any point since that repair, or whether there have been any further warning messages? The car appears to have covered around 235 miles since then.
if the car needs these replaced catalyst costs on the DB9 are significant around 10 – £12,000 for both
If possible, could Trade Classics or AJTech also confirm whether a current diagnostic scan shows any current, pending or permanent fault codes, particularly catalyst-efficiency codes?
Also, the June 2025 Trinity invoice shows the gearbox required a 2-litre oil top-up this would be unusual unless the gearbox is leaking. Was any leak identified at the time, and has the gearbox subsequently required any further oil?

The gearbox hasn’t required any more oil as far as I’m aware. The catalyst were examined closely and found to be overall excellent order.
A present there are no warning messages.

Sorry about the car is in Devon and I’m in North Yorkshire so I don’t have access to the paperwork. It’s all sitting in the car at the moment. All I can really tell you is when I bought it I took it to the garage and told them to service it and fix anything they found that was wrong. What I can say is the other hood has been up and down by me many times and always appeared to work perfectly. There were no leaks of oil or water ingress.

Are there any services between July 2018 and October 2025 that simply haven’t been entered into the auction chronology?
Has the ZF gearbox oil/filter ever been changed, and have the early transmission cooler lines been updated?
Have spark plugs/coil packs, coolant hoses and radiator had any significant replacement?
What is the condition of the rear differential bushes, suspension arms, dampers and subframes on a lift?
Has the roof been repeatedly cycled and are there any hydraulic leaks, water ingress or roof-control faults?

Yes, I have only owned the car since March. Unexpected divorce is the reason why I’m selling. The colour is a metallic black in that it’s sparkles in the sunshine. Whether that is onyx black I don’t know
