Meet the owner

It's a lovely car, handles absolutely beautifully, is responsive and has plenty of power.

Tim acquired this car earlier this year on behalf of a friend. He tells us “This car has a special story to tell. We bought it for a close friend to use who, who had been diagnosed with a terminal illness. Sadly, my friend didn’t get to use it in the way we’d hoped but he did love the car and we were able to pay tribute to him and his family by using it as part of the funeral procession”.

Of the car Tim says “It's an absolutely stunning car, it’s been looked after really well and it’s amazing to drive. I consider it a real privilege to have been able to drive it. Exterior

The Onyx Black paintwork perfectly suits the lines and stance of this undeniably beautiful sports car.

Wheels and Tyres

The diamond cut, 7 spoke alloy wheels look good and we could see only minimal signs of curbing and wear. The chrome plated wheel bolts and Aston Martin branded centre caps present well as do the red brake calipers, a nice contrast to paint. The wheels are wearing 235/40/R19 Bridgestone tyres all round which look in good condition appear to have plenty of tread remaining.

Bodywork

The car stands straight, panels look great, shut lines appear very good and both doors, boot and bonnet open and close with precision. What you'd expect from an Aston Martin. On the day of our visit, we could find no evidence of dents or dings and panels appeared straight and true without any apparent distortion.

Paint

This lovely coupe is finished in “Onyx Black” and Paint Protection Film (PPF) has been applied across the car. Through the film the paint finish appears even and consistent with a deep shine. We could find few age-related marks and overall the car presents really well.

Glass and Trim

Windscreen, side windows, mirrors and lenses all appear in very good condition. We could see no sign of misting, scratching or chips. We could see some minor wear to the black plastic trim as would be expected on a car of this age. The chrome trim and iconic Aston Martin badging all presented well.

Luxury, well equipped, supremely comfortable and beautifully appointed.

Seats and Carpets

With "Phantom Grey", silver stitched, sculpted leather seats, they look in great condition with only a little wear to the drivers seat bolster as would be expected. The seats are firm, comfortable and electrically heated on this model.

High quality matching "Phantom Grey" carpets are in very good shape, with only slight age related wear. The rest of the interior and headlining look very good reflecting the very low mileage on this example. Do take a look at the high-resolution images and video to see the condition of the interior for yourself.

Dashboard

The sculpted lines of the body are mirrored in the design of the dash giving the gauges, instruments and switches a sharp, sporty feel. The white lettering looks clear against the grey background, and we could find no significant scratching, damage or wear.

Switches appear unbroken and in good condition with only occasional minor signs of use, entirely in keeping with the age and mileage of the car. Please take the time to look at the hi resolution images and video of the interior so that you can assess the condition for yourself.

Steering Wheel / Gear Stick

The black, leather covered steering wheel looks fantastic with the Aston Martin branded centre boss looking absolutely superb.

The gearstick shows only minor signs of use while the leather gator and centre console look in great condition.

Mechanics

As well as offering one of the best soundtracks around, the 4.3L 32 valve V8 engine delivers ~379BHP to the rear wheels through a super slick 6 speed manual gearbox.

Engine and Gearbox

The V8 powerplant looks fantastic set in the clean engine bay. Coupled to the 6 speed manual gearbox this unit is capable of propelling this stunning car to 60MPH in under 5 seconds and to a top end of ~175MPH.

On our cold start video, you’ll see the car fires up willingly with that spine chilling V8 roar and quickly settles down to a steady idle. Gauges all seemed to read as they should and emissions appeared clear.

Suspension and Brakes

The red painted brake calipers look superb through the 7 spoke alloys. With 355mm discs up front, and 330mm at the rear you can be assured this coupe is more than equipped to handle its ~379BHP.

With four-wheel independent suspension, front and rear stabiliser bars and beautifully engineered weight distribution all underpinned by Aston Martin expertise it’s no surprise the handling on these cars is legendary.

The Drive

On our test drive with Tim the car pulled well, gear changes were slick and precise, brakes worked well, and the exhaust note was thoroughly intoxicating. The suspension felt firm and compliant while the cabin was supremely comfortable.

Electrics and Other

Tim assured us all electrics work exactly as they should. The car is equipped with electrically adjustable seats, headlamp levelling, folding mirrors, 4-wheel ABS, Satnav and an Aston Martin Audio System.

This low mileage example comes with an extensive history, presents in beautiful condition and comes with the all important manual gearbox.

This lovely example has clearly been meticulously maintained, has a comprehensive service history with Aston Martin and specialist independents, offers exceptionally low mileage, and comes in a superb colourway. With an MOT until April 2024 this Vantage is ready to use and enjoy. The car comes with original service book and owners’ documentation, extensive receipts and maintenance history, two keys and Aston Martin key ring.
