Introduction

Colin Bashford
Professional Consigner and Photographer

A true modern classic, it’s a car that proves elegance and excitement can share the same badge.

The Aston Martin V8 Vantage stands as one of the purest expressions of Aston Martin’s modern design philosophy - compact, beautifully proportioned, and engineered with a clear focus on driver involvement. This specification represents a particularly sweet spot in the model’s evolution, retaining the character and naturally aspirated charm that made the early V8 Vantage such an instant icon.

At its heart sits a 4.7-litre V8 engine that delivers power in a way that feels linear, responsive, and deeply engaging. Visually, the V8 Vantage still carries one of Aston Martin’s most successful designs. Step inside and the cabin reinforces that same philosophy of craftsmanship and driver focus. Hand-stitched leather, solid metal switchgear, and a driver-oriented layout.

This example is equipped with heated sports seats, cruise control, 6 CD auto changer, sat nav system, power-fold door mirrors and front and rear parking sensors. Also supplied is the Aston servicing book.

Servicing on the Vantage was last completed in April 2026 covering oil and brake fluid changes and an updated ambient temperature sensor. A replacement clutch kit was fitted in August 2023.

As a whole, this V8 Vantage is more than just a stylish sports car - it’s a drivers' machine built around balance, sound, and feel. It offers a rare combination in today’s market, with a unique setup, this is '1 of 6' in the UK with the paint colour, and verified as '1 of 1' due to its interior specification.

Wrapped in timeless design, this Aston delivers an experience that remains as rewarding on a spirited Sunday drive as it is on a long continental journey, this one represents a brilliant model for those in the market for something a little more stand out and of investment quality.

This listing was written from information supplied by Colin after meeting Neil the owner, and having visited and photographed the vehicle.

Meet the owner

The Vantage has been so impressive, I'll miss the power and performance but, whoever gets it, will absolutely love it.

Neil is a genuine petrolhead, and his ownership of this rare Aston Martin V8 Vantage reflects that passion. Drawn to its exclusivity as one of a very limited number produced in this specification, he was equally taken by its blend of everyday usability and true performance character.

On the road, Neil tells us more about his time with the car, "it feels so tight and responsive, with the V8 driving ~420BHP in a way that really comes alive on open roads. It always offers a rewarding drive. It's not just the power I love about it, it drives with great balance and an incredible sound that makes this one such a standout".

During his ownership, the car has been well maintained with servicing kept up to date, including a clutch kit replacement. While Neil originally intended to keep the car long term, a change in direction towards something more practical and performance-focused is now on the cards, and with this, he is now offering this well cared for example for sale.

Neil will be available to answer any questions about the car in the comments below.

Exterior

The Vantage's timeless silhouette is pure Aston Martin - purposeful, effortlessly elegant and a real head turner.

Wheels and Tyres

The 19" 20-spoke Aston Martin wheels, finished in silver, look great on this example and were refurbished in July 2025. The wheels look well presented, although there was a slight sign of kerb rash on the passenger side.

The wheels are fitted with Kuhmo tyres, with a spec of 235/40 at the front, 275/35 to the rear and date coded from 2022.

Please take time to review the photos and videos for a detailed view of the exterior, wheels, and tyres so you can make your own assessment of their condition. Tyres are a key safety item, and you should consider replacing any that are cracked, perished, unevenly worn, or over 10 years old.

image

Bodywork

The bodywork of this Vantage is in great condition, with all the panels showing well and what you'd expect from Aston Martin quality. Neil mentions he rarely uses the car in wet weather conditions, part of the reason the car presents as well as it does.

Shut lines are visually equal and matching, as is the bonnet, and both doors. The bonnet and boot sections both opened and closed well. During our visit, we didn't notice any obvious dings or dents on the bodywork, Overall, the car presents nicely.

We've highlighted our observations in more detail through our hi-resolution images and videos, so please take the time to look through all the media files for a detailed view of what’s on offer and to assess the condition of the car for yourselves.

image

Paint

Finished in 'Hardly Green', the paint is evenly applied with consistent coverage and colour across each panel.

The paint is one of only 6 produced in this colour on this model. The finish is quite unique, described as complex yet understated, and a very soft muted green. Under different lighting, the metallic flake pigment shift can give it a slightly bluish-silver-green look.

While we did notice some small stone chips at the front of the car, a couple of light scratches around the front badge and a minor scuff on the rear driver side wheel arch. These didn't detract too much from the quality and you'll need to get close to spot them.

The images are taken from a few different angles to show off the car as you would see it if you were standing there for yourselves. So please take the time to fully assess these hi-resolution images and videos of the car, for you to make up your own minds about the condition of the paint.

image

Glass and Trim

All of the glass sections around the Aston looked good. Windscreen, windows, mirrors, lights and lenses, all appeared in nice condition with no cracks or significant scratching that we observed on our visit.

Inside the cabin, the headlining and Moon Shadow Alcantara inner and outer inserts, showed with great levels of presentation

Interior trim sections and 'Parliament Green' leather door cappings displayed well, with only a couple of slight markings from use.

Exterior body trim all showed well, with enhancements to the front and rear chrome badge with green infill, and a platinum finish to the front grille.

We've taken you around the car in greater detail in our exterior review video, please take the time to look over the video and see how the glass and trim look from different perspectives.

image

Interior

Step inside and you're greeted by a beautifully crafted blend of hand-stitched leather, elegant design, and unmistakable British luxury.

Seats and Carpets

Interior sections of the Vantage show very well. Lovely looking 'Moon Shadow' leather wrap the heated sports seats - comfortably securing the driver and passenger in place. The condition of the seats and rear bench is very good, a few marks were noted but nothing overly concerning.

The drivers bolster section showed with a few signs of use but with a little reconditioning, would show in a really great way.

Carpet sections of the cabin are in great condition and we noted no concerns with the floor pans. The boot area shows very well without any major wear or concern with no observed marks on the carpet sections here.

We've captured high-resolution photos and a full interior video tour through the car. This covers off the angles inside the car for you to review and appreciate the condition of what's on offer here in our interior review section.

image

Dashboard

The leather fascia used to trim the centre console, is finished in 'Parliament Green' and looks fantastic.

Instruments are all nice and clean showing no signs of fogging or display issues. The odometer reports ~24,399 miles at the time of our visit.

Looking over the leather finish on the dash showed the cabin area has been really well looked after over its life and we observed no concern with warping, splitting or damage.

Our interior gallery section takes you over some closer images of the Vantage dashboard, head over and see the car's interior in finer detail.

image

Steering Wheel / Gear Stick

The Vantage is fitted with its original Aston Martin leather steering wheel with green trim finish, a real highlight here and complimenting the cabin area really well. The steering wheel looked in good condition, with only slight wear noticed, as did the paddles.

The steering wheel is equipped with alloy sport paddles giving the driver additional control over the automatic gearbox. The wheel also houses the media function buttons and call options.

We've captured high-resolution photos for you to review and appreciate the condition of the interior in our gallery section.

image

Mechanics

Delivering thrilling performance and an unforgettable soundtrack, the V8 makes every drive feel special.

Engine and Gearbox

The Aston Martin 4.7L V8 engine is highly desirable, offering ~420BHP.

On the day of our visit, we started the car from cold, and it performed well on the road, the engine pulled nicely, idled smoothly, and ran without fault.

The car was serviced in April 2026 and the clutch kit was replaced August 2023. Neil reports that the car drives well with its six-speed Sportshift gearbox.

Neil told us the clutch was replaced by a twin plate clutch/lighter flywheel, which extends the likely life of the clutch, makes for smoother gear changes and the lighter flywheel results in a noticeably more responsive engine. This was fitted by DAE, a well known Aston upgrade specialist.

Take a look at the mechanical video to see the car starting from cold, driving around, and for a closer look underneath the Vantage and the smart engine bay.

image

Suspension and Brakes

We noted no knocks, bangs or other issues from the suspension when we were driving, and it gave us no concerns in its performance or handling.

The multi-spoke alloys allow a great view of the large grey brake callipers and slotted discs offered all around. The brakes felt to have no pull or vibrations that stood out to us when on the journey, and brought the car to a stop without a problem.

Overall the car performed as to be expected with no other concerns out on the road.

Please take a look over the mechanical videos and photographs to see close-up images from under the car.

image

The Drive

The Aston Martin V8 Vantage delivers a driving experience that feels beautifully old-school in all the right ways, yet perfectly honed for modern roads.

It’s not a car that rushes you - it draws you in. The chassis feels tight and balanced, encouraging flowing, confident inputs rather than sharp corrections.

On a winding road, it settles into a rhythm that’s equal parts precision and theatre, making every drive feel like an occasion rather than a commute.

image

Electrics and Other

The Aston Martin is equipped with cruise control, 6 CD auto changer, Bluetooth and iPod / USB connection, graphite speaker grilles, sat nav system, non-GSM telephone system, graphite tread plates, Vantage sill plaques, flint seatbelts and an alarm.

The car features front and rear parking sensors, window surround finishers, power-fold door mirrors, under-bonnet inspection plate and heated sports seats. The Vantage is finished with its warning triangle and non-smokers pack.

On our visit we weren't able to test all of the electrics on the car, although Neil reported that all elements are working.

image

History and Paperwork

~3 year ownership, servicing carried out in April 2026 and a previous clutch replacement, the Vantage benefits from a strong and well-documented service history.

Neil, the current keeper, has owned the Aston for the last ~3 years and during this time, the kept the car maintained to a high standard, with careful attention given to its mechanical upkeep and overall presentation.

Benefiting from a well-documented service history, this Vantage presents as a well-sorted and properly maintained example that has been consistently looked after rather than simply used.

Neil also mentions that the car is very rarely driven in wet weather conditions, a choice that has clearly played a part in how well it presents today.

Servicing on the Vantage was last completed in April 2026 covering oil and brake fluid changes and an updated ambient temperature sensor, all together this cost over ~£780. Brakes and pads were changed in May 2026 after supply by the owner.

In August 2023 the clutch was replaced by a twin plate clutch/lighter flywheel, which extends the likely life of the clutch, makes for smoother gear changes and the lighter flywheel results in a noticeably more responsive engine. This was fitted by DAE, a well known Aston upgrade specialist, the exhaust gasket was changed along with a new pipe kit, combined works here cost over ~£6,000.

We’ve done all our usual seller checks including photo ID, V5 and also actioned a history check on the vehicle - this is a professional check operated by HPI that will highlight if the car has been previously stolen, recorded as being in an accident, or have any outstanding finance - note, this does not include a mileage history check.

The car is fitted with a personalised number plate - this will be retained by the owner and is not included in the sale.

We've summarised our own view on the car based on information gained from the seller in the listing above, however, and as you can see, we go to great lengths to photograph and video the car in hi-resolution detail - this has been done for you to make your own assessment from the comfort of your sofa. So please sit back, have a cuppa and take your time to review everything on this listing in order to make your own assessment on the vehicle's condition. Viewings are also welcomed with all our listings, so please get in touch with us to arrange a suitable time - we just need to speak to you first and receive a valid photo ID before confirming.

If there's anything you're unsure about, no matter how small, then please first ask the owner in the comments area below before placing your bid/s, as bids can't be retracted and form a binding contract if you win the car - just like a traditional auction house.

    Key Bidding Facts

    What is your reserve policy?

A reserve is the minimum price a seller is willing to accept for their vehicle. We work closely with sellers to set realistic reserves that reflect current market values — we don’t take on vehicles with inflated or unrealistic expectations.

If the reserve isn’t met when the auction ends, we’ll work with the highest bidder to try and agree a deal with the seller.

Whether the reserve has been met may / may not be disclosed during the auction — just like a traditional auction house. Bidders usually find out if they’ve won only when the auction ends.

    As a guide:
    – If you’re able to place a second bid, the reserve hasn’t been met.
    – If you attempt to outbid yourself and the system blocks it, then the reserve has been met.

Why shouldn’t I leave bidding to the last minute?

Auto-Extending Bidding – we’ve developed auto-extending auctions that mimic traditional auction house bidding; it’s a key feature to make sure classic vehicles achieve their true worth. Bids placed in the last one minute automatically extend the auction by two further minutes. So there is no need to leave bidding to the last second.

Security – we operate higher levels of security, so you may need to enter further authorisations against your stored card after you select ‘Place Bid’. All this takes time and may mean you miss the end of the auction by the time the authorisation passes. To guarantee your bid, we recommend at least five minutes are active on the auction when you place your bid.

Network Connection – your device may lose connection and you’re not able to bid, or see the latest bidding history.
