It looks fantastic, it sounds incredible, and it performs superbly - Aston Martin did pretty much everything right with the DBS.

The DBS is a top-end production GT sports car, costing £170,000 on its first release. The vehicle is based on Aston Martin's VH platform and received a number of technical improvements over its sister car, the DB9. On release, the car was well received by the motoring press, and this continues to be the case over ten years on. With the combination of the power train and chassis set-up, Aston Martin really nailed it with this car.

This particular example comes to market from ~1.5 year ownership, with just ~33,434 miles covered it can be considered low mileage. It's finished in the often not seen "Morning Frost" colour with "Obsidian" black leather interior.

Meet the owner

Owning an Aston for me has always been at the top of my list, and this car has not disappointed.

Peter is the owner of this stunning 2010 Aston Martin DBS. Being at the top of his cars to own list for some time, he has finally ticked it off, and what a pleasure it’s been. So much so, he actually decided to go for a later model DBS purely because it’s a touch newer and a special edition.

EXTERIOR VIDEO

Exterior

The flagship model for Aston Martin in the 2010s, the muscular body lines and the iconic grill of the DBS give it an unmistakable presence on the road.

Wheels and Tyres

The wheels on the DBS have recently been refurbished, leaving them with a spotlessly clean diamond-cut face and anthracite spokes. The tyres are a matching set of Michelin Pilot Sport 4S, which have plenty of tread remaining.

Bodywork

The bodywork on the DBS is good, there is however just a dent below the headlight on the drivers side halfway down the bumper as pictured. The other thing we noticed was a small blister on the top corner of the passenger door, this hasn’t broken through the paint and is quite small.

Paint

Finished in "Morning Frost", the pearlescent paint is stunning and looks even better when the sun hits it. Stone chips are negligible, and there were no scratches to mention across the bodywork we could see.

The images are taken from a few different angles to show off the car as you would see it if you were standing there for yourselves. So please take the time to fully assess these hi-resolution images and videos of the car, for you to make up your own minds about the condition of the paint.

Glass and Trim

All of the windows appear in good condition with no apparent scratches, as are the window trims.

Headlights are free from any chips or cracks. The car comes with carbon fibre splitters on the front bumper, mirror bases and rear diffuser, all of which are in excellent condition.

Interior

Obsidian black leather wing backed seats confirm you are behind the wheel of something quite special.

Seats and Carpets

The DBS embroidered memory electric sports leather seats hold you snug without feeling too restrictive. These are in great condition with minimal signs of any use in the high-wear areas. The rear seats don’t appear to have been sat in a significant amount, and are therefore excellent.

The door cards are in great condition too with a nice carbon fibre trim, just some marks to the leather near the handles. The carpets throughout are in excellent condition with no signs of wear.

Dashboard

The dashboard is superb, finished with a "Piano Black" trim to the centre; this is free from any excessive scratches. The instruments are working fine, with no warning lights displayed when the engine runs. The odometer shows a reading of ~33,434 miles.

Steering Wheel / Gear Stick

The steering wheel is excellent and has the usual cruise control and telephone buttons to the lower section, and paddle shifters on the rear. The gear selection on this car in the familiar centre console location for this era of Aston Martin.

Mechanics

The 6.0 litre V12 produces an astonishing ~510BHP, which is enough to propel the DBS from 0-60mph in 4.3 seconds.

Engine and Gearbox

The V12 fires up instantly when you push the key in. There are no untoward noises or areas for concern when looking around the engine bay from above or underneath.

The gearbox has a silky smooth change, and the car pulls like a train through the gears. You can also change gear via the paddle shifters for a more spirited driving style.

Suspension and Brakes

With fully adaptive damping, the DBS provides an excellent ride that is firm without being crashy or harsh. No untoward noises are coming from the suspension, even going over several speed bumps near Peter’s property.

Derived from the race track, the ceramic brake discs bring the car to a stop very suddenly when needed and with no issues reported.

The Drive

A true sports car with superb engineering and excellent performance, topped off with a luxurious leather interior. The DBS is suited to many different driving styles, whether you want to use it as a GT cruiser or more sports driving. Whichever it is, it will accommodate your style.

Electrics and Other

Fully loaded with Bang & Olufsen audio system and satellite navigation, the Aston doesn't really need anything more. The switchgear is all in excellent condition thanks to the low miles covered, and everything is reported to work correctly.

History and Paperwork

A low mileage example of the V12 GT, it comes to market from ~1.5 year ownership and presents beautifully in Morning Frost white.

A number of Aston Dealers and independent Aston specialists have taken care of the DBS and kept it in fine fettle. The most recent service was at 31,884 miles and carried out by AM Performance Ltd, Macclesfield in February of last year.

The car comes with the owner's/service manual, three keys and a selection of previous invoices for work carried out. The MOT will expire on 10.10.2023, but Peter will put a new MOT on the car for the new owner.

We’ve done all our usual seller checks, including photo ID, V5 and also actioned a HPi check on the vehicle.
