Introduction

Darren Rungasamy
Editor and Photographer

Deluxe accommodation and tasteful glamour go hand in hand with quality and potent performance.

The Bentley Continental has long been the benchmark for high-speed cruising, defined by exquisite craftsmanship and unwavering comfort. Since the 1952 original, it has solidified its reputation as the ultimate modern grand tourer. Following the brand’s 2003 rebirth, the Continental became the cornerstone of the Bentley line-up, with the GTC adding the allure of effortless, open-air motoring.

Few vehicles command the road with the quiet authority of the Bentley Continental GTC. It is a sanctuary of fine wood and supple leather, powered by a locomotive-like twin-turbocharged W12 engine that makes every journey feel like a special occasion. With 552 hp and a sophisticated all-wheel-drive system, the Continental GTC isn't just a convertible; it is a high-speed grand tourer designed to conquer the elements while keeping its occupants in absolute serenity.

This 2007 Bentley Continental GTC is finished in Silverlake Blue with a Magnolia leather cabin. The car is smartly presented with just ~ 38,941 miles on the clock. Owned by its original owner, it comes with Bentley servicing, its wallet, handbooks and original sales invoice. It has an MOT to November 2026, was last serviced by Bentley in March 2025 - around 1,000 miles ago and comes with 4 sets of keys.

This listing was written from information supplied by Darren after meeting Jeff the owner, and having visited and photographed the vehicle.

Meet the owner

The Bentley suited my needs perfectly; quick and smooth, it still holds up well today.

Jeff has a history of owning connoisseur cars, and the Bentley marque has been his favourite, with very few brands offering the combination of quality, performance and understated style. Used as an occasional car throughout its life, he has ensured it is well-maintained by Bentley themselves.

Jeff now has a newer model Bentley, which means that the recent lack of use and loss of garage space forces the GTCs sale.

Jeff will be happy to answer any questions about the car in the comments section below.

Exterior

The exterior styling imparts opulence; its sculpted lines hint at both athleticism and presence.

Wheels and Tyres

The 19” 5-spoke alloys present well, showing just minor rim scuffs, but nothing that distracts.

The front and rear of the car are fitted with Pirelli P-Zeros tyres showing a spec of 275/40. The fronts are date-coded from 2021 and 2019; the rears are 2011 and 2021. They all show plenty of legal tread.

Please take time to review the photos and videos for a detailed view of the exterior, wheels, and tyres so you can make your own assessment of their condition. Tyres are a key safety item, and you should consider replacing any that are cracked, perished, unevenly worn, or over 10 years old.

image

Bodywork

The car's structure looks solid, with no issues observed on the underside, wheel wells, engine bay or boot floor. The exterior also presents positively, with decent panels which are flush to the body and free of damage. The panel gaps are even throughout, with doors that opens and close easily.

We've highlighted in more detail our observations through our high-resolution images and videos, so please take time to look through all the media files for a detailed view of what’s on offer, and for you to assess the condition of the car for yourselves.

image

Paint

The Silverlake Blue paint has a positive lustre and even consistency on all panels. There are a few light road wear chips on the front of the car, with a handful of minor surface marks elsewhere, but above the expectations of a car of this age.

The offside has a few minor white paint spots, which appear to be removable.

Free of outdoor elements, the car appears to have been previously stored indoors.

The video shows a white blemish on the lower section of the passenger door - this is not damage but simply a removable residue.

The images are taken from a few different angles to show off the car as you would see it if you were standing there for yourselves. So please take the time to fully assess these high-resolution images and videos of the car, for you to make up your own minds about the condition of the paint.

image

Glass and Trim

The glass, seals, lights and lenses are in good condition.

There were no issues with the trim or body fittings.

image

Interior

Furnished with sumptuous leather and fine wood accents that exude luxury.

Seats and Carpets

The Magnolia leather seats are in good shape, with just mild creasing on the front seats, and some discolouration on the driver's seat bolster.

The carpets and mats are in good shape, with no signs of dampness.

image

Dashboard

The dashboard presents well, with no marks on the padding, Birds Eye maple wood facia or centre console. The switches, controls and dials display positively. Jeff has informed us that all of the dashboard functions are working as they should.

The door cards and interior trim are tidy. There are mild surface marks on the headlining, but they appear to be superficial. The features include an optional veneered door and rear quarter inserts.

image

Steering Wheel / Gear Stick

The gear lever and steering wheel are cleanly presented.

image

Mechanics

All-wheel-drive confidence, with a twin-turbo W12 power, the GTC offers more than you’ll ever need.

Engine and Gearbox

The engine fires into life immediately, with a smooth idle and no unwanted engine noises. The dashboard warning light remains off, with no unwanted exhaust fumes. There was no evidence of fluid leaks during our visit.

The engine presents well, with evidence of regular maintenance.

The Six-speed ZF automatic gearbox is said to operate without fault.

image

Suspension and Brakes

The car rides smoothly, free of any unwanted noises when in motion.

The braking was proven to be effective, slowing and stopping the car free of faults.

image

The Drive

Propelled by a 6.0-litre twin-turbo W12, this Bentley fuses 552 hp of sophisticated power with immense torque and all-wheel-drive stability. It offers a sense of total composure that perfectly mirrors its peerless build quality and majestic presence. Delivering both effortless acceleration and unwavering road holding, it remains the definitive gentleman’s carriage.

The 2007 Bentley Continental GT feels stately and solid on the road. Jeff took us for a drive along an urban route to allow us to experience its refinement. The engine cruises evenly, free of any unwanted noises; the potency of the engine was not tested on this occasion, but its self-assured characteristics and surprising agility were notable around the bends.

The steering tracks well, free of negative feedback and retains its sharp feel. The ride is composed, with a smoothness that dealt with the road surface with confidence and was free of any thuds or knocks from the wheels.

Jeff has not experienced any issues with the oil pressure or our engine temperature.

image

Electrics and Other

The car has been generously spec’d from new and options include a heated steering wheel, coming home controls, cordless privacy handset, power boot, TV tuner and lumbar massage.

During our visit the roof was inoperable, however, since the visit Jeff took the car to Bentley Surrey and they fixed the issue - you'll see a £2.5k invoice for this in the paperwork section.

History and Paperwork

Complete with Bentley service history, it has been well maintained by Bentley since new.

Jeff is the car's original owner of the car and it was registered by the main Bentley dealer Clive Sutton in March 2007. Highly specified, it comes with Bentley service history with 5 stamps and 3 additional invoices. As well as a folder of service invoices, it also comes with receipts from Clive Sutton for sundry and maintenance.

The car was last serviced in March 2025 and has an MOT until November 2026. It comes with four keys (two spare) and the complete owner's wallet with booklets.

Jeff has also retained the car's original sales invoice and dealer correspondence.

We’ve done all our usual seller checks including photo ID, V5 and also actioned a history check on the vehicle - this is a professional check operated by HPI that will highlight if the car has been previously stolen, recorded as being in an accident, or have any outstanding finance - note, this does not include a mileage history check.

We've summarised our own view on the car based on information gained from the seller in the listing above, however, as you can see, we go to great lengths to photograph and video the car in hi-resolution detail - this has been done for you to make your own assessment from the comfort of your sofa. So please sit back, have a cuppa and take your time to review everything on this listing in order to make your own assessment of the vehicle's condition. Viewings are also welcomed with all our listings, so please get in touch with us to arrange a suitable time - we just need to speak to you first and receive a valid photo ID before confirming.

If there's anything you're unsure about, no matter how small, then please first ask the owner in the comments area below before placing your bids, as bids can't be retracted and form a binding contract if you win the car - just like a traditional auction house.

Hi – would it be possible to view this car tomorrow (Sunday) – I can do anytime to suit you.

Afternoon Djeff, In looking at the Bentley photos I think I see a crack on the front underside of the wrap around front bumper. I doesn’t affect driving the vehicle as far as I can tell. I am correct in this observation? Looks like it might have been by an overzealous kerbstone! Please let me know. Ian Miller

    Key Bidding Facts

    What is your reserve policy?

A reserve is the minimum price a seller is willing to accept for their vehicle. We work closely with sellers to set realistic reserves that reflect current market values — we don’t take on vehicles with inflated or unrealistic expectations.

If the reserve isn’t met when the auction ends, we’ll work with the highest bidder to try and agree a deal with the seller.

Whether the reserve has been met may / may not be disclosed during the auction — just like a traditional auction house. Bidders usually find out if they’ve won only when the auction ends.

    As a guide:
    – If you’re able to place a second bid, the reserve hasn’t been met.
    – If you attempt to outbid yourself and the system blocks it, then the reserve has been met.

Why shouldn’t I leave bidding to the last minute?

Auto-Extending Bidding – we’ve developed auto-extending auctions that mimic traditional auction house bidding; it’s a key feature to make sure classic vehicles achieve their true worth. Bids placed in the last one minute automatically extend the auction by two further minutes. So there is no need to leave bidding to the last second.

Security – we operate higher levels of security, so you may need to enter further authorisations against your stored card after you select ‘Place Bid’. All this takes time and may mean you miss the end of the auction by the time the authorisation passes. To guarantee your bid, we recommend at least five minutes are active on the auction when you place your bid.

Network Connection – your device may lose connection and you’re not able to bid, or see the latest bidding history.
