Bentley is a premium brand that engenders loyalty, admiration, and a touch of envy in car fans the world over – these cars are an institution.

The Continental GTC maintains true to the Bentley tradition and yet offers more – this is a sporting grand tourer with supercar credentials. Offering a 6 litre, 12 Cylinder, twin-turbo engine, four-wheel drive with 60:40 rear/front bias and unparalleled luxury, these cars offer pace, control, and style few can match.

This 2011 GTC Speed is a fantastic example. With stunning black paintwork over a beautifully crafted, hand stitched, black leather interior, it’s a truly handsome beast. Exterior

With long curves, wide grill, and elegant muscular lines, this car looks tight and sharp while retaining a real sense of luxury – everything a Bentley convertible should be.

Wheels and Tyres

The 20-inch, 13 spoke alloy wheels appear in stunning condition. We could see no evidence of kerbing or other damage with the rims, spokes and centre badging presenting beautifully. They are wearing grippy Toyo 257/35 R20 PXSP Tyres all round. There is a receipt in the paperwork showing the tyres were fitted in July 2022.

Bodywork

The car stands straight, panel gaps look great and doors, bonnet and boot all open and close with precision. We could see no dents, dings, or panel distortion and overall, the car looks fantastic. The hood opens and closes exactly as it should as can be seen in the exterior review video.

Paint

Black is a perfect colour choice for these cars and this one doesn’t disappoint. Deep, even and consistent shine right across the car with no significant marks or blemishes. On very close inspection we could find some inevitable, small, age-related marks but nothing of any real significance and we had to search pretty hard to find them.

The images are taken from a few different angles to show off the car as you would see it if you were standing there for yourselves. So please take the time to fully assess these hi-resolution images and videos of the car, for you to make up your own minds about the condition of the paint.

Glass and Trim

Windscreen, side windows and mirrors all look superb and are clear, undamaged and free from scratching. Headlight lenses appear in great shape as do all the other lights and lenses and we could see no evidence of damage or clouding.

Interior

All the atmosphere of an exclusive club – hand-stitched diamond pattern leather, sculpted seats and deep pile carpets ooze opulence and luxury.

Seats and Carpets

This interior is individual, beautiful, and luxurious. The hand stitched black leather seats appear in excellent condition and appear largely unmarked. Even the drivers seat bolster and cushion show only very light use. The magnificent, high quality, black leather finish extends to the rest of the cabin, and we could see no signs of marks, rips or tears.

The high quality, two tone, striped carpets and floor mats look great and once again appear in great condition. Take a look at the high-resolution photos and video the appreciate the condition of this wonderful cabin for yourself.

Dashboard

The dashboard is a stunning combination of leather, alloy fittings, piano black trim and crystal-clear dials with subtle and sporty illumination. All appear in magnificent condition with the Breitling analogue clock adding an exquisite centrepiece.

All switch gear, buttons, dials and switches appear in great condition and Paul assures us everything works exactly as it should.

Steering Wheel / Gear Stick

Leather covered, sculpted steering wheel with Bentley branded centre boss looks absolutely fantastic conveying a sense of real intent.

The alloy auto drive selector looks equally stylish framed by the piano black centre console - all present very nicely.

Mechanics

With its motorsport origins the W12 engine is an engineering masterpiece – this 6.0 litre, twin turbo unit delivers ~600BHP to all four wheels through a super smooth 6 speed automatic gearbox.

Engine and Gearbox

With ~600BHP on tap, a factory specified 0-60 in 4.2 seconds and a top speed of around 195 mph the GTC Speed wants for little in terms of performance. Delivery through a smooth 6 speed automatic gearbox with paddle shift combines flexibility with undeniably, brutal power.

Check out the “On the Road” video to see this car the engine roar into life from cold and quickly settled down to a steady idle. There were no warning lights illuminated on the dash and emissions appeared clear.

Suspension and Brakes

Sharing brakes with the rest of the Continental range you can be assured this car stops as well as it goes. On our brief test drive the car could be arrested quickly, smoothly and evenly.

The Speed is equipped with “charisma-dependent ESC” its own electronic stability control which allows a range of driving modes and interacts with the driver to enhance the control experience. The Speed also has adaptive damping, active all wheel drive and active anti roll control.

The Drive

On our drive with Paul the car was everything we expected. Smooth, effortless acceleration, raw power when needed and a sense of absolute control. Braking was smooth and even while suspension felt firm and planted, all accompanied by a throaty, stirring exhaust note

Electrics and Other

This car offers all the electronic sophistication you would expect from a Bentley of this era and quality. From engine management, stability control, ABS, and adaptive damping through to top quality audio, Bluetooth, seat adjustment and massage, windows, hood and a range of other luxury refinements.

We saw no faults on our visit and Paul assures everything works exactly as it should

A magnificent example of the ultimate luxury convertible – examples this good are hard to find and open the door to a unique motoring experience

The Continental GTC was always intended to offer a more sporting experience than previous 'Contis' and somehow it really does manage to combine opulence, comfort, and control with brutal, raw power. Not an easy combination to pull off but Bentley seemed to have managed it. This evocative, intoxicating cocktail makes for a unique drive.

This car is a great example with an excellent service record, an MOT to August 2023 and a history of careful and diligent ownership. With an original release price of around £150,000 these cars now offer excellent value - wherever you go in this car you will do so in style!
