Classic curves, flared arches, and a stance that means business - the Z3M Roadster in its purest form.

Wheels and Tyres

This Z3M sits on its original 17-inch BMW Style 40 “Roadstar” alloy wheels, designed specifically for the M Roadster and instantly recognisable with their deep-dish profile at the rear. The staggered setup gives the car its muscular stance with wider rears at 9J paired with 7.5J fronts.

The alloys present in excellent condition, showing only light signs of use with no significant kerb marks or corrosion visible. Finished in their correct bright silver, they complement the car’s classic lines beautifully.

The wheels are fitted with Avon ZV7 tyres, with healthy tread levels all round, date codes showing 2016 [2716], and visually even wear across the set.

Bodywork

The bodywork presents beautifully. The characteristic Z3M curves, flared arches, sculpted bonnet, muscular haunches are crisp with no significant dents or ripples.

An inviting cabin finished in Imola Red and black leather – sporty yet unmistakably premium.

Seats and Carpets

Finished in Imola Red and Black Nappa leather, the seats present very well, showing only light creasing in line with the age of the vehicle. The bolsters remain firm, and the leather retains its deep colour with no significant wear or tears. The carpets are clean and well kept, protected by mats, with no heavy staining or damage that we noted.

Dashboard

The dashboard is free from cracks, warping, or fading. All trim panels sit flush, and the centre stack presents neatly with the iconic quartet of dials set low in the console.

Switchgear remains in good condition, with labels and markings still clear.

Steering Wheel / Gear Stick

The original M steering wheel shows no excessive signs of use, with stitching and leather intact.

The gear knob likewise retains its factory leather finish, the shift pattern visible and no excessive wear to the surround.

Powered by BMW’s legendary straight-six, the Z3M Roadster offers an engaging and analogue driving experience that still feels special today.

Engine and Gearbox

The 3.2-litre straight-six fires up cleanly from cold, settling into a smooth and purposeful idle. On the road it pulls strongly through the rev range, with no hesitation or untoward noises noted.

The five-speed manual gearbox selects gears cleanly, and the clutch engages positively with no signs of slip.

Andrew the Owner mentioned a new clutch was fitted under BMW Warranty.

Suspension and Brakes

The suspension feels taut yet compliant, giving the car its trademark balance between control and comfort. No knocks or rattles were observed on the drive out, with the car holding the road confidently.

Brakes provide strong and even stopping power - discs and pads show healthy life, and three was no judder or pull under braking that we felt.

The Drive

Out on the road, the M Roadster delivers the kind of experience enthusiasts expect – direct steering, eager acceleration, and a chassis that rewards confident inputs.

The car feels tight and composed, offering the combination of agility and muscle that defined BMW’s M division of the era.

No knocks or rattles could be heard on the road.

Electrics and Other

Andrew, the owner, confirms that everything is working correctly on the car, including gauges, switchgear and lighting.

The roof mechanism operates as it should, raising and lowering smoothly, and the car shows no warning lights on the dashboard.

History and Paperwork

A nice example of a Z3M Roadster that has clearly been cherished and enjoyed throughout its life.

The car comes with a history folder showing the maintenance carried out at both BMW main dealers and respected specialists. The most recent service was completed in June 2025 and the current MOT is valid until 30 June 2026, with no advisories listed.

Alongside the history, there is a file of invoices and receipts covering both routine maintenance and replacement parts, demonstrating consistent investment in the car’s upkeep.

The sale includes the full complement of original handbooks, stamped service booklet, MOT certificates. Also included is the original dealer plates.

Offside Front Play in steering rack inner joint(s)”
Have these been addressed or just not noted again since then?

Hi Andrew,I have just read the terms about collect and pay 7 days-I am at my home overseas till the 30th October-if I am successful will you be happy with say £500 deposit and I come up after the 30th ,collect and transfer funds on collection

Hi Paul…many thanks for your interest in my lovely BMW Z3m..yes to the first question I am willing to do that for you if your successful….and the second question is…absolutely no rust or welding…it is immaculate underneath as it has not been out in rain…the mechanic who does the MOT on it says he can’t believe the how clean it is underneath only some dust…lol…and lives in my heated garage ..the car is absolutely genuinely rust free…and as you can see from pics in fantastic condition in and out…
