Petrolhead Michael has always liked having something special on the driveway; this one, in particular, has been part of his collection for the past six months.

Unfortunately, due to space being needed for another dream opportunity, he's made the regrettable but necessary decision to part company with this stunning low-mileage 2014 BMW M6 Competition Gran Coupé.

Exterior

The combination of carbon fibre roof and trim pack, paired with the stunning Sakhir Orange, is simply perfection.

Wheels and Tyres

The factory 20-inch diamond-cut original alloy wheels, featuring BMW’s floating centre caps - which keep the logo centred at all times - are in excellent condition, with no damage or corrosion spotted.

Michelin Pilot Sport 4 tyres are fitted on each corner and have plenty of tread remaining.

Bodywork

Walking around the M6, the bodywork is in like-new condition, with equal panel gaps and no dings or dents spotted.

The M6 is also fitted with a carbon fibre roof and the optional carbon trims to the rear diffuser.

The icing on the cake, however, has to be the soft-close door option, which is simply the height of luxury.

Paint

Finished in Sakhir Orange, the paintwork is in excellent condition and free from stone chips, thanks to the paint protection film (PPF) fitted to the front bumper, wings, A-pillars, and rear bumper load area.

Glass and Trim

The windows are in excellent order, with no noticeable scratches or marks, and the rear half of the M6 has a factory tint. The window trims are the optional satin chrome part of the Shadow Line trim package.

The adaptive LED headlights with automatic high beam have no damage to the lenses, and the rear lights are in the same condition.

Interior

Complementing the exterior perfectly is the rare Sakhir Orange leather interior.

Seats and Carpets

The desirable and rare Sakhir Orange leather interior is in excellent condition, with no signs of age to the sports front seats, which are electric, heated, and offer memory functions & lumbar support.

Both door panels are in excellent condition and feature the same Sakhir Orange leather, topped with carbon fibre trims.

The rear seat is also in excellent condition.

Throughout the car, the carpets are clean and tidy, with no signs of age or heavy use.

Inside the boot, the small tool kit is in place, along with the locking wheel nut.

Dashboard

The black dashboard is in excellent condition, with no scuffs or damage. No warning lights are displayed, and the odometer shows that just ~12,914 miles have been covered.

The carbon fibre trim package adds carbon touches on the dashboard, centre console, and door panels.

Steering Wheel / Gear Stick

The heated leather steering wheel features multi-function switches, paddle controls, and M-coloured stitching. It is in excellent condition.

The automatic gear selector can be left in automatic mode or used to select gears in semi-automatic mode.

Mechanics

A 4.4-litre TwinPower Turbo V8 produces ~575 bhp and 500 lb-ft of torque - propelling the car to 60mph in ~3.7 seconds.

Engine and Gearbox

The 4.4-litre V8 is a wonderful engine for the M6, providing ample power and - with a selection of driving modes - is suitable for everything from everyday use to taking it on track.

With a seven-speed automatic gearbox, changes are slick and the M6 pulls strongly through the rev range.

Suspension and Brakes

It goes without saying that, with just ~12,914 miles on the clock, the M6 handles like new. No knocks or bangs were present.

Being the Competition variant, it gained stiffer springs, unique damper tuning, and thicker anti-roll bars.

Huge 400mm front brakes clamp 396 mm drilled discs with six-piston calipers. Combined with single-piston calipers at the rear, the M6 comes a stop very quickly indeed - and in a straight line, with no issues reported.

The Drive

Bringing together supercar performance with long-distance grand touring comfort, the 2014 BMW M6 Competition Gran Coupé features the amazing twin-turbocharged 4.4-litre V8, delivering a formidable 575 bhp. The Competition Package sharpens the handling, steering and suspension, giving it a more focused feel through the bends, while the seven-speed M-DCT gearbox delivers rapid, slick changes.

Refined when cruising but ferociously quick when unleashed, it’s certainly a car that effortlessly combines luxury, practicality, and very serious performance.

Electrics and Other

Everything inside the M6 is in excellent condition and is working correctly. The original purchaser went to town on the options package, with soft-close doors, head-up display, auto lights & wipers, TV tuner, DAB, dual-zone air conditioning, and heated seats. The list goes on.

History and Paperwork

Although the odometer shows just ~12,914 miles, servicing has been regular.

The main dealer service history for the M6 Competition is superb, and the last service was carried out on 04.06.2026 at 11,504 miles.

The owner's manuals are included, along with two keys, and the current MOT runs until 27.08.2027. There is also a warranty on the M6, which is covered for another 18 months.

Included in the sale is the cherished registration plate M6 KVK.

With what is thought to be just ~158 Sakhir Orange M6 Gran Coupés produced, and what the vendor tells us is that just ~3 of those UK cars are Competition models with the matching interior. Those numbers make this an extremely desirable model to own… and, with the very low mileage and fantastic specification, it is the perfect choice for any collector wishing to add a rare and desirable BMW to their collection.

    Why shouldn’t I leave bidding to the last minute?

Bids placed in the last one minute automatically extend the auction by two further minutes. So there is no need to leave bidding to the last second.
