I’ve always wanted to experience driving a 2CV and have thoroughly enjoyed the experience - I am now moving on to my next bucket list car!
I bought the car only intending to keep it for one year before moving onto another bucket list car, so it’s now time for someone else to have the pleasure of using it.

It is such an iconic design that attracts attention and waves wherever it goes.
2 brand new tyres and one brand new wheel on the front.
Rear tyres are very good with lots of wear left in them.
There is now also a spare in the boot together with a brand new wheel brace.
Bodywork covered in a vinyl wrap because the car was used in an advert for L’Oréal lipstick which has appeared all over the world. It can be viewed on a part CGI image in the streets of Paris by googling "2CV L’Oréal Paris advert".
The car also appeared on a stand in a large display in London for the same company.
The vinyl wrap gives the bodywork a very smooth weatherproof finish.
There are only 1 or 2 tiny knicks in the wrap, but otherwise smooth professional finish.
Red colour which is covered in vinyl wrap (see above).
There is very small amount of bubbling on the offside front wing round the flashing indicator, otherwise the bodywork appears to be good considering the age of the car.
All glass good and unmarked.

Incredibly comfortable seats together with the unique Citroen suspension making for a smooth ride.
Two seats in front with bench seat of different covering in the rear.

Standard dashboard in condition commensurate with its age.
Original Citroen steering wheel with black gear stick all in good condition.
Very reliable car which always starts first time - fitted with a galvanised chassis and last serviced in 2024 at 10,961 miles, when engine and gearbox oil both changed.
A new gearbox was fitted in 1992. New engine mountings in 2021 . New cranks seals front and rear in 2017. New pistons and gasket set together with clutch kit in 2016. New petrol pump in 2017. New firewall in 2018. New clutch cable 2015.
New shock absorbers in 2001. New brake pads in 2016.
Recently MOT'd and all brakes found to be fine with no advisories.
New brake master cylinder in 2018 and new brake shoes and cylinder in 2013.
Car drives like a Citroen 2CV! Nothing else quite like them. I recently drove it 80 miles and it performed very well. It drives along quite comfortably at 50-60 miles per hour.
It is especially good to drive in the sunshine with the roof back.
Electrics all work as expected. New alternator, fan belt and voltage regulator in 2024. New starter motor in 2003 new contact set and condenser in 2013. New 123 ignition fitted in 2017. New battery in 2021. New headlight in 2024. A new hood was fitted in 1999.
A new boot floor and new plastic petrol tank in 2024 to replace the ones removed to fit the L’Oréal lipstick advertising campaign. Together with a new fuel filler pipe and tank sender. New wiring loom in 2018.
Massive history file from fastidious owners going back to first service in 1989, then major service in 1994.
MOT completed with one minor non urgent advisory on 12 April 2025. Huge history folder with old MOTs, service records and full record of all repairs and works throughout the life of the car. The last two owners were short term only for the purpose of the advert referred to above, so only 5 former owners apart from that.
Full file record in a comprehensive folder along with two sets of keys a Haynes manual and drivers manual will come with the car.
Two spare spark plugs, fan belt, spare windscreen wiper blade, wheel brace/starting handle together with spare wheel are included in the sale.

Is the car right hand drive and has it been converted from lhd? Thank you.
It is right hand drive and so far as I know it has not been converted. The owners have all lived in the UK. The video for L’Oréal was slightly cgi generated to make the car look left hand drive to appear to be correct driving in Paris.

I don’t know what makes you think that. This is a genuine sale. I bought this car through trade classics. Ask them if you have any doubt
Hi Keith, I saw the car failed the MOT on numerous occasions since 2006. Many for rust issues amongst other problems.
Could you possibly send me copy invoices of the work undertaken to rectify these faults?

It only failed for corrosion in 2015 and 2022 and both were rectified then test passed. No subsequent corrosion issues including the test passed last week. It has a galvanised chassis.
