Introduction
Dom Ginn
A timeless classic – the Daimler V8 250 blends British luxury, elegant styling and Jaguar Mk2 roots with a refined V8 for true 1960s sophistication.
The Daimler V8 250 represents one of the finest examples of British motoring heritage, blending timeless elegance with refined performance. Introduced in 1962, the 250 was Daimler’s version of the Jaguar Mk2, sharing much of its graceful styling and engineering but distinguished by subtle design cues, including the signature fluted Daimler grille.
By the late 1960s, the 250 had evolved into a more luxurious saloon, combining the sporting appeal of the Mk2’s handling with Daimler’s focus on refinement and comfort. Its leather-trimmed cabin, polished wood veneers and elegant proportions made it a favourite among those seeking understated prestige without sacrificing driving enjoyment.
Owned by our vendor Terry for the past three and a half years, it's clear to see that he has thoroughly cherished the Daimler following a full body restoration when he purchased the car.
This listing was written from information supplied by Dom after meeting Terry the owner, and having visited and photographed the vehicle.

***** AUCTION ENDS TONIGHT*** There’s been plenty of interest in Terry’s Daimler and the auction ends this evening. Remember, the highest bidder always has first refusal with us. Cheers Adam
great no response from terry the owner ?
Hi,
Terry has responded to your comment below incase you missed it.
Thanks,
Colin.
There are no micro-blisters on the paintwork, as stated in the profile. The car was stripped down to the metal, and all filler applied over the years was removed.
Any signs of rot on the doors, panels, inner, and outer surfaces were cut out and re-welded. All chrome is original and was not touched, as it looks so good for its age. The radiator was overhauled because new ones are unavailable, and all pipes were replaced. A new transmission was fitted last year (no more than 500 miles). The leather upholstery is original, but all the padding was redone as the sponge had rotted.
This car, by no stretch of its owner’s imagination (mine!), could be driven to Scotland and back without any problems.
Thank you,
Terry
Please can you confirm there are no micro blisters on the paintwork anywhere on the car? Unless you can respond to my question I won’t feel confident to bid on your car. Thank you

Does the winning bidder have to pay a buyers fee to Trade Classics?
Hi,
Sorry I missed this comment the other day, yes there is a buyer’s premium of 6%+VAT (7.2% total) on top of the final bid price.
You can find out more about how our auctuins work here:

Hello Terry, Do you have a reserve price? I would like to know if your car is within my budget. Thanks Sjan
Hi Sjan,
All our cars have a reserve unless stated otherwise, unfortunately we can’t disclose the reserve. If it doesn’t reach reserve the highest bidder will have first refusal on a post auction deal.
Thanks,
Colin.
Does this car have power steering please?
