This beautiful Fiat 500F has been restored in the spirit of the iconic 595s, with Gavin's own personal touch.

Gavin the owner has had the car since 2005, using it as a project to recreate the incredible Abarth model. The previous owner bought the car in 1982 and was originally a yellow standard 500F. The car is now fitted with an Abarth 640cc engine and other various branded parts such as the crank rod, rocker cover, inlet manifold and more.

The exterior is set out in a beautiful classic white on top of the exceptional bodywork. Gavin has told us the car drives perfectly and will be sad to see it go. He is looking to buy an Austin-Healey Frog-Eyed Sprite as a future project.

Gavin loves a project. After buying the car in a "tatty yellow" and using it as a runaround to get himself to Birmingham City Centre, he decided to completely transform the Fiat to what you see today - an impeccably unique replica of the iconic 595s. Since then, the car has not seen a rainy day, only being used in the best of weather.

After 15 years of modifying and taking great care of this beautiful example, he wants to start a new project and feels the time is right to make some space in his garage.

Exterior

In the spirit of the 595s, the unique detailing and excellent condition will captivate the attention of any passer-by.

Wheels and Tyres

The 595s replica is sitting on a set of 12" Lesmo alloy wheels that are in excellent condition.

The India GT tyres still have a very good tread on them, however, there is some cracking on the sidewall as the car has not been used frequently for the last 3 years.

Bodywork

As you can see in the invoices, Gavin has replaced some of the panels and chrome across the car. To maintain the condition of all original panels, Gavin has had them vapor blasted to keep the integrity of the respray.

When viewing the photos you will see how good the bodywork looks. Gavin is clearly an owner who wants everything to look perfect. The car has Abarth & 595s branding in different forms like the front and rear badges, and the chromed model number on the rear.

Paint

Set in a classic white, the paint across the Fiat looks even and stunning.

The unique detailing in the spirit of the 595s creates a one-of-a-kind feel, as the usual colours for the original were white and red.

Glass and Trim

All looks in excellent condition across the car.

INTERIOR VIDEO

Interior

The interior is as minimalistic as they come. Two seats, a steering wheel, a gear stick and speedometer is all you need to enjoy this beautiful car.

Seats and Carpets

The seats are one of the few original features on the car and still maintain in fairly good condition. Gavin installed black carpets to the interior, leaving a tidy finish.

There are some invoices of spring repairs to them but the material is original. Gavin states in the 'Meet the Owner' video that this part of the car is the last thing he would change, allowing the new owner an opportunity to finish of if they require.

Dashboard

The dashboard has been finished in a colour matching scheme to the exterior paintwork.

With only a speedometer situated behind the steering wheel, the minimalistic feel of the interior will keep you focused on the joy of driving.

Steering Wheel / Gear Stick

Fitted with a 3-spoke RMD suede steering wheel and looks in excellent condition.

This is a huge credit to Gavin's ownership, as he has also wanted to add the inspiration of the Abarth 595s inside too, fitting an Abarth manual gearstick.

Mechanics

This car is built for pure driving pleasure and the sound coming from the exhaust will add to that sense of joy.

Engine and Gearbox

The engine has been replicated to feel like the original 595s. During Gavin's ownership, the engine's cylinder head has been ported as well as applying an Abarth cam head - the best value for money performance modification out there, and also the most time-consuming.

Suspension and Brakes

Due to the huge changes in the car, it is now lighter and has been balanced accordingly.

Abarth suspension has been installed along with AVO shock absorbers, adding to the drivability of the car.

Electrics and Other

There are hardly any electrics on the car but as we mentioned earlier, electronic ignition has replaced the older mechanism.

As you view the underside of the car, you will realise even more how much of a clean and tidy example this really is.

History and Paperwork

Gavin has kept all invoices involving the restoration and replication of the 500F.

Prior to Gavin's ownership, not much else came with the car apart from the original Fiat 500 handbooks and manuals.

Gavin mentions he has been to Italy many times to get original spare parts of former Abarth cars, and has cleaned and applied them to this example with great care and passion.
