We think it's a great looking machine - Mike Wareham from South Coast Customs has taken this Consul and made something really special.

This car features a complete rebuild with custom paint, twin exhaust, star grill, 3" roof-chop, a wind-up rear window, the list of customisation on this example is endless.

As you would expect from a custom total re-build, all the bodywork is in excellent condition.

The shut lines across all the panels are tight and even as you'd expect, and no dents etc observed. Please watch the videos to see all the detail.

Paint

Finished in a beautiful gold with subtle fades to a light grey, a lovely choice of paint.

Across the car, the paint is even in finish and colour.

We really like how the ski jump centre console links the under dash parcel shelf to the wind-down rear window.

We think the eight-ball gear stick is really cool with the classic steering wheel to match, it takes you back to those sweet '60s summers.

Mechanics

The 1,500cc pre-crossflow four-cylinder engine is perfect for cruising down the promenade during sunsets.

Engine and Gearbox

A 1,500cc pre-crossflow four-cylinder Ford engine with a four-branch manifold and 28/36 twin-choke Weber carb carries this fantastic body.

As expected Mike has attended to the engine bay as well, an excellent finish as seen in the images.

Suspension and Brakes

Alex assures us that the car handles as you'd expect from this Ford and stops just as it should do too.

The suspension and brakes have been giving a lot of attention during the rebuild.

Alex assures us this car drives as good as it looks, beautifully and fault-free.
