Is the video recent, I would love to view it but only saw it half hour ago,
Is the car available to view asap before auction ends?
Only if you live near maulden Bedfordshire
Yes video taken couple weeks ago
Paint colour is Porsche Arena Red
I see the car was originally a Blue 289. Seeing your post below, was it Mike who did the engine change and repaint or was that work done in the USA. Also I am guessing the original owner wanted to keep the FBK1D plate hence the number change.
FBK1D was a private plate I guess which was removed when car was sold in 2015
Mike did all the work here in the UK
Yes car was originally nightmist blue, 289 with a C4 box
It is a restomod now as it has been TOTALLY restored and modified. I have all the info about engine builder and the name of the garage that maintained the car whilst it was owned by an Earl as part of his private collection.
This car is incredible and has had so much money spent on it.
It has to be the best 66 restomod in the UK.
If I didn’t need funds I wouldn’t be selling it as these don’t come around very often.
I have all the MOT history from 2011 when the car was put back on the road and first one was on 28/10/2011 with 13 miles on it after the extensive rebuild.
This car is incredible and such a testament to Mike who originally built the car. Mike was one of the committee members at mustang owners club. He sold the car to pay for his daughter to go through university.
The attention to detail is second to none.
Hello. Great looking car. The log book shows an issue date of 21/2/25.Can I ask how long you have owned the car.
Thanks
Hi mustang man.
Correct. That was a complete oversight on my part. I have owned the car for over 1 year and I have sales receipt to confirm.
I am only selling as I have another project and a new business to fund.
Kind regards
Adrian
Thank you. Looking back at the history I see the car was originally a blue 289. Would you know if the engine change and repaint were done in the UK or the USA. Also I am guessing the original UK owner wanted to keep the FB
Please ignore this last question. You have already answered it . The questions have got a bit mixed up on here. Thanks

Hi
Any answer to the power steering & brake upgrade please?
Up grading the brakes to power brakes and adding power steering is an option if you and your sons would like to do that.
thank you.
hi. apologies if I’ve missed this- does the car have power steering , and brakes been upgraded at all?
lovely car, looking for one to own with my sons, something to work on with them father son thing, is this a car you can drive daily ?
So sorry for delay.
No power steering or brakes.
It does have Willwood master cylinder and discs.
Can definitely be a daily driver.
Hello, can I cone and see it please.
David
yes of course. please email me
Hi, the wheels look pretty close to the arches do they rub when driving ? Is the body all good metal work and free from filler ? Regards Mark ps. Car looks great ?
Hi Mark
Thanks for your message.
They have never rubbed. I’m 6 foot four and 17 1/2 stone and when myself and my son are in the car they have never rubbed the wheel arches. The suspension is absolutely solid.
All the Body work is A1 and no filler as far as I can tell and the car has been built to an incredible standard and no expense spared.
