Introduction
Darren Rungasamy
A refined, reliable Japanese sports coupé blending sleek styling and comfort.
Aligned with Honda's music-themed naming strategy, the Prelude was introduced in 1978 as the brand's compact sports coupé, with an emphasis on comfort and refinement. Serving as Honda’s flagship model for many years, it showcased the manufacturer's reputation for mechanical reliability and innovation. Honda models stood apart from their Japanese rivals, earning praise for their engaging driving dynamics.
The fourth-generation Prelude was announced in 1991, featuring a futuristic, wraparound "multiplex" dashboard layout with a distinctive digital speedometer and analogue cluster. The exterior embraced smooth, aerodynamic styling that projected an image of sophistication and premium engineering. Positioning the Prelude further upmarket, Honda made it one of their most technologically advanced and well-equipped vehicles of the era. Combined with traditional virtues of economy, drivability, and straightforward maintenance, the car stood as a smart, premium alternative to traditional executive coupes.
Fitted with the robust, fuel-injected 2.0-litre F20A4 engine, the Prelude quickly established a reputation for exceptional durability and effortless urban drivability. The engine delivers accessible low-end torque for a smooth, quiet drive, avoiding the high maintenance costs, oil leaks, and strict valve-clearance schedules associated with more highly-tuned performance engines.
This 1994 Honda Prelude 2.0i is finished in black with a grey fabric interior, showing just two former keepers and registered to the same lady owner for over 29 years. Showing just over 50,000 miles, it comes with 10 documented services alongside invoices and receipts dating back to 1995. Dry stored since 2020, the car is currently on SORN without an MOT, but remains solid throughout with a sweet-running engine and a near-immaculate interior. It includes its complete owner’s book pack, two keys, and was last serviced approximately 2,000 miles ago.

I can not find mention of fees on the website so assume there isn’t however confirmation of this would be much appreciated. Many thanks
