1967 Jaguar MKII 3.4 Auto

Now available for sale

Introduction

Matt Nolan
Professional Consigner

This beautiful right-hand-drive MKII 3.4L has made its way back home to the UK after being imported from California.

Having been a non-runner, the car has now been mechanically restored and registered for use in the UK. From what we know, the mechanical side of things has had some restoration works. We are told that the car retains a lot of its originality with some minor changes here and there.

This auction listing was written from information supplied by Matt after meeting Michael the owner, and having visited and photographed the vehicle.

Exterior

The Jaguar doesn’t get as iconic as this shape and is set in a blue that will make heads turn whenever you decide to go for a cruise.

Wheels and Tyres

The car looks to have the original wheels that maintain excellent condition. The tyres are of different ages and brands but have good tread.

Bodywork

The panels look in good condition with no dents or bumps across the car.

Paint

Please review all the photos and videos of the car as you can see some minor scratching and possibly some micro-blistering in some areas that you can review.

Glass and Trim

The glass is in good condition whilst the trim could do with replacing by the new owner.

Interior

Wow.. The red interior of this car looks stunning and gives the car a real character. With a mixture of vinyl, wool and cloth, you definitely feel like you’re in a comfortable cabin.

Seats and Carpets

The condition of the interior is tip top having been restored.

Dashboard

The dashboard of a MKII always catches our eye in the office and this example is no different.

Steering Wheel / Gear Stick

Both are in great condition, take a look at the video and photo content to review.

Mechanics

As mentioned, a mechanical restoration was performed on the car after being imported from California. The car has power steering and automatic gearbox that works well. We took an “Engine Review” video showing the car starting. We also have photos of the engine bay that details the full condition of this area.

Engine and Gearbox

The 3.4L straight-six engine is always going to sound beautiful. At the time of testing the car could manage a top speed of 119mph, accelerating 0-60 in 11.9 seconds. Although you may not want to try this out in modern-day, it is a testament to the engineering of Jaguar.

Suspension and Brakes

Although we were not able to test the car in our usual “On the Road” video, Michael assures us the brakes and suspension are in good health.

The Drive

We are assured by the owner that the dials are all in working order and maintain the originality you would expect from a Mark 2. The underside of the car looks in good condition, as can be seen in the media file of the photos and “Exterior Review” video.

Electrics and Other

We are assured by the owner that the dials are all in working order and maintain the originality you would expect from a Mark 2. The underside of the car looks in good condition, as can be seen in the media file of the photos and “Exterior Review” video.

History and Paperwork

The car enjoyed much of its life in America, California.

As mentioned, the car comes with a Certificate of Authenticity from the Jaguar Heritage Trust that states the numbers shown on the registration document.
