Sorry, I can see the 2025 invoice now, with no notes re 2024 comments, was the work carried out noted on 2024 invoice
Can you advise on my question re 2025 service and 2024
Thanks for the questions. Apologies if my answers are not as helpful as you wished for.
1. I am sorry I have no idea what Nikasil lined bores are so am unable to help with this. However I did ask my Jaguar engineer (Jagutek) if there were any recalls or issues with my 4 litre engine and he assured me that once they had 3 or 4 years trouble free motoring there were no concerns.
2. Again I am afraid I cannot answer definitely however again I did ask my Jaguar engineer if the timing chain would need replacing or servicing and was assured that it was a timing chain and not in need of any attention. I can assure you that there is no noise from the timing chain and the engine sounds perfect.
Hope this is helpful
Thank you.
Three Questions, please:
1) Does your car have Nikasil-lined cylinder bores or have they been upgraded
2) Does your car have partly plastic timing chain tensioners and guides or have these been upgraded to steel parts?
3) Have you experienced any issues with the Timing Chain and has it been replaced during your ownership?
Many thanks.
Do you have copy of 2025 service invoice, did the steering play get fixed and dust cover replaced from 2024 service
is the silencer stainless steel and is there any rust onthe vehicle
To the best of my knowledge there is no rust on the vehicle. None is visible and there has never been any comments at service or any advisories relating to rust. The exhaust on the car is the original (I assume stainless steel) and again does not appear to have any rust or been identified at any service/MOT. Hope that helps.
