Introduction
Jacob Boodrie
In keeping with the tradition of the marque, the balance of design and power produced a beautiful GT.
At the Geneva Motor Show in 1996, the Jaguar XK8 was launched to critical acclaim. With unmistakable Jaguar DNA, this new tourer, styled by Fergus Pollock, embodied beauty, elegance, and power. Available in both coupé and convertible versions, over 91,000 of these cars found owners, with many heading to the USA. Sharing a platform with the Aston Martin DB7, the XK8 introduced Jaguar’s first in-house V8 engine, as previous models had successfully utilised the Daimler V8. However, the 32-valve AJ-V8 engine in the XK8 was groundbreaking, delivering the smooth, refined, effortless power that defines the Jaguar experience. In 1998, the supercharged “R” model was introduced, achieving 0-60 mph in under 5 seconds and a governed top speed of 155 mph. This blend of supercar performance, stunning design, luxury, and comfort truly set the XKR apart.
This lovely convertible comes to market after ~2 years with the current owner, presented in "Ammonite Grey" over an "Ivory" interior. The car has had money spent on cosmetic and mechanical maintenance over the years and has just recently passed its annual MOT, making it ready to be enjoyed by a new Jaguar enthusiast.
This listing was written from information supplied by Jacob after meeting Simon the owner, and having visited and photographed the vehicle.

Sorry that’s my fault as it went through my business and receipt was sent to accountant for expenses. All works were carried out by mot company who then passed it. Thanks
Hi, I see that the car failed its Mot in 2023 on under body corrosion, I cannot see any invoices for the repair work to get it a pass?
Hi, can you confirm car was last serviced in 2019. Thanks
Yes but also when I bought it the car had an oil change. Mechanically it’s stunning. Starts, brakes, drives lovely. Everything solid and smooth as it should be.
