Meet the owner

I'd admired Jaguar's grand tourers for years, and after a lot of waiting, I finally found this XK in 2019.

James has owned the XK since June 2019, covering mainly relaxed A and B-road journeys around East Anglia while maintaining it with a complete service history and meticulous care - James told us, ".From the very first drive, I knew it was the right car, and it's been an absolute pleasure to own ever since."

Now, after seven enjoyable years of ownership, changing family circumstances mean he reluctantly needs something with greater practicality, making this well-loved grand tourer available for its next owner.

James will be happy to answer any questions in the comments section below.

Exterior

Blending elegant proportions with timeless Jaguar styling, this XK remains a striking grand tourer.

Wheels and Tyres

The factory alloy wheels remain in good overall condition, complementing the XK's understated appearance.

The Jaguar centre badges have faded slightly with age, while the tyres appear to offer good tread.

Please take time to review the photos and videos for a detailed view of the exterior, wheels, and tyres so you can make your own assessment of their condition. Tyres are a key safety item, and you should consider replacing any that are cracked, perished, unevenly worn, or over 10 years old.

image

Bodywork

The bodywork presents well, with straight panels and excellent shut lines throughout.

There is a small dent on the passenger door, while the front bumper carries the expected stone chipping associated with regular road use. Minor corrosion is beginning to appear on the driver's front wing.

We've highlighted in more detail our observations through our hi-resolution images and videos, so please take time to look through all the media files for a detailed view at what’s on offer, and for you to assess the condition of the car for yourselves.

image

Paint

Finished in 'Ultimate Black Metallic' which sparkles in the sun, the paintwork retains an excellent overall finish and continues to suit the XK's flowing lines beautifully.

Aside from the expected stone chips to the front bumper and the small areas of corrosion noted, the finish remains in good condition. There are also some bits of white fluff from the car cover visible in the photos, on the bonnet, roof and other places, these are not damage to the paint.

The images are taken from a few different angles to show off the car as you would see it if you were standing there for yourselves. So please take the time to fully assess these hi-resolution images and videos of the car, for you to make up your own minds about the condition of the paint.

image

Glass and Trim

The glass is in good condition, while the exterior trim remains well presented throughout.

There is a small area of corrosion beginning at the top edge of the windscreen surround, but otherwise the brightwork, lights and trim all present well and complete the XK's refined appearance.

Please view the photos and video below to review the condition of the glass and trim for yourself.

image

Interior

The cabin is a fitting place to enjoy the XK's grand touring credentials, combining premium materials, supportive seating and the understated luxury expected of a modern Jaguar.

Seats and Carpets

Trimmed in black leather, the heated seats remain in excellent condition and offer impressive comfort for both shorter journeys and longer touring.

The upholstery has been well cared for throughout James' ownership, while the carpets present cleanly with only light signs of age, reflecting the car's careful use.

Please take a look at the photos and video below to decide on the condition of the seats and carpets for yourself.

image

Dashboard

The dashboard retains its elegant, driver-focused layout, with high-quality soft-touch materials, aluminium trim and a clear instrument cluster creating a refined environment.

The infotainment system, climate controls and switchgear all present well, contributing to a cabin that still feels contemporary today.

image

Steering Wheel / Gear Stick

The leather-trimmed multifunction steering wheel remains in excellent condition, showing only minimal signs of wear and providing a comfortable grip behind the wheel.

Jaguar's signature rotary gear selector is in excellent condition too, which rises smoothly into position on start-up and works seamlessly with the automatic transmission, reinforcing the XK's effortless grand touring character.

image

Mechanics

Powered by Jaguar's renowned naturally aspirated 5.0-litre V8, this XK delivers the refined performance and effortless grand touring ability that has made the model such a modern classic.

Engine and Gearbox

At the heart of the XK is Jaguar's charismatic 5.0-litre naturally aspirated V8, an engine that James describes as faultlessly smooth and just as enjoyable to drive today as when he first bought the car in 2019.

The engine starts readily, idles smoothly and delivers effortless performance throughout the rev range, with no unwanted noises or mechanical concerns reported.

Paired to a six-speed automatic transmission, gear changes are seamless and well suited to the XK's relaxed grand touring character.

image

Suspension and Brakes

The suspension offers a reassuringly firm yet compliant ride, providing excellent body control without compromising comfort on longer journeys.

Steering is precise and confidence inspiring, while the braking system performs exactly as it should, delivering strong and progressive stopping power.

image

The Drive

James describes the XK as a wonderful car to drive, and it's easy to understand why. Throughout his ownership it has been used predominantly on quiet A and B roads around East Anglia, where the smooth V8, refined chassis and effortless gearbox have made every journey an occasion.

Whether cruising at motorway speeds or enjoying a flowing country road, the XK feels composed, capable and every bit the refined grand tourer Jaguar intended it to be.

image

Electrics and Other

All electrical equipment is reported to be in good working order, including the heated seats and interior features.

Supported by a complete service history from new and a full collection of MOT certificates, the car has clearly been maintained with care throughout its life, giving reassurance that it is ready to be enjoyed by its next owner.

image

History and Paperwork

Accompanying the XK is an exceptional history file that reflects the care and attention it has received throughout its life.

The car benefits from a complete service history from new, giving a comprehensive record of its maintenance from first registration through to the present day.

In addition, James has retained every MOT certificate from the car's first test in 2017 through to its most recent MOT in July 2026, providing an excellent paper trail to support its mileage and continued upkeep.

Together, the extensive documentation and meticulous record keeping offer reassuring evidence of a Jaguar that has been carefully maintained and enthusiast-owned throughout its life.

We’ve done all our usual seller checks including photo ID, V5 and also actioned a history check on the vehicle - this is a professional check operated by HPI that will highlight if the car has been previously stolen, recorded as being in an accident, or have any outstanding finance - note, this does not include a mileage history check.

We've summarised our own view on the car based on information gained from the seller in the listing above, however, and as you can see, we go to great lengths to photograph and video the car in hi-resolution detail - this has been done for you to make your own assessment from the comfort of your sofa. So please sit back, have a cuppa and take your time to review everything on this listing in order to make your own assessment on the vehicle's condition. Viewings are also welcomed with all our listings, so please get in touch with us to arrange a suitable time - we just need to speak to you first and receive a valid photo ID before confirming.

If there's anything you're unsure about, no matter how small, then please first ask the owner in the comments area below before placing your bid/s, as bids can't be retracted and form a binding contract if you win the car - just like a traditional auction house.

Supercharged XKRs with 50,000 kms are pulling AUS$80,000 in Australia. It’s a shame we can’t import cars less than 25 years old. What a bargain Jaguars are in UK?

    Key Bidding Facts

    What is your reserve policy?

A reserve is the minimum price a seller is willing to accept for their vehicle. We work closely with sellers to set realistic reserves that reflect current market values — we don’t take on vehicles with inflated or unrealistic expectations.

If the reserve isn’t met when the auction ends, we’ll work with the highest bidder to try and agree a deal with the seller.

Whether the reserve has been met may / may not be disclosed during the auction — just like a traditional auction house. Bidders usually find out if they’ve won only when the auction ends.

    As a guide:
    – If you’re able to place a second bid, the reserve hasn’t been met.
    – If you attempt to outbid yourself and the system blocks it, then the reserve has been met.

Why shouldn’t I leave bidding to the last minute?

Auto-Extending Bidding – we’ve developed auto-extending auctions that mimic traditional auction house bidding; it’s a key feature to make sure classic vehicles achieve their true worth. Bids placed in the last one minute automatically extend the auction by two further minutes. So there is no need to leave bidding to the last second.

Security – we operate higher levels of security, so you may need to enter further authorisations against your stored card after you select ‘Place Bid’. All this takes time and may mean you miss the end of the auction by the time the authorisation passes. To guarantee your bid, we recommend at least five minutes are active on the auction when you place your bid.

Network Connection – your device may lose connection and you’re not able to bid, or see the latest bidding history.
