My dream setup and one of the best cars I've ever driven - it's a real drivers' car.

Charles, the current owner, has been an enthusiast of performance cars for as long as he can remember, and tells us, "There's just something so special about this Jag, I love the V8 engine and the brakes are just something else, they stop the car flat in seconds. When I was on the lookout for my dream car, I came across this F-Type and with it being Jaguar approved, I knew it was the one for me".

It's clear to see that the current owner is passionate about his car, Charles tells us more about his experience with the Jaguar, saying, "It handles like a go-kart, much more agile than I imagined. But with incredible acceleration and noise. The active suspension is very effective and there are options with traction, suspension and throttle".

Charles tells us more, adding, "I've added ~10k miles in ~7 years, for a total of ~27,776. I think that makes it very desirable, but I'm more than happy to hang on and add another 10,000 miles, as if it doesn't go, I'd love to keep it for a good while longer".

Sleek lines, muscular stance, and drop-top drama - a perfect mix of elegance and raw aggression.

Wheels and Tyres

The 20" 5-spoke alloy wheels finished in black with carbon accents, overall appeared to be in good condition.

We didn’t notice any major concerns, although there were some signs of kerbing to the passenger side front and rear wheels. As you'll see in the photos, there were signs of brake dust, so a good clean over would really set these off.

The Jaguar is fitted with Pirelli P-Zero tyres all round showing 255/35 at the front and 295/30 at the rear. The tyres are date coded from 2017 to the front and rear.

Bodywork

The Jaguar’s bodywork is in great condition and looking around the car, door shut lines are visually equal and matching, as are the bonnet and boot.

We did note a small ding on the top edge of the windscreen surround.

The carbon insert side panels and touches of carbon on the roll hoop surrounds were a lovely feature on the F-Type.

Paint

The paintwork on the F-Type has excellent coverage and quality across all the panels and is finished in "Ultimate Black". We didn't note any major concerns as the exterior of the car looked in great shape.

There were no major stone chips over the front of the car, although there was a lot of insect debris which made it more difficult to determine any issues.

We did note that on the passenger side front end, there were a handful of stone chips and some minor marks to the lower side of the front. There was also a slight imperfection to the paint on the rear bumper and very minor scuffs to the passenger side rear wing.

Glass and Trim

The glass and trim sections on the Jaguar were in lovely condition, consistent with the car's age; we didn't notice any cracks or discolouration during our visit. The window seals showed no real concerns, matching the rest of the car.

The front and rear lights look well-maintained. Badges and emblems are present, correct and show very well.

Interior

A cabin that blends luxury with performance - premium leather, red double stitching, carbon accents and driver-focused design; a true sports car with a refined edge.

Seats and Carpets

The F-Type is equipped with "Jet Leather" upgraded leather upholstery featuring red, double stitching, "R" embossed headrests and subtle carbon insets to the seat centres, providing a stylish complement to the interior. The seats in this car are set up with full electric memory control and bolster adjustment.

Overall, the seats are in very good condition; we noted no major concerns just some minor wear to the drivers side bolster. The car is fitted with black Jaguar branded floor mats. The carpet areas in the cabin and the boot are in good condition - although really would benefit from a thorough clean over to bring the standards up.

Dashboard

Wrapped in black leather, with carbon accents and contrasting red, double stitching across the centre console, the dashboard is presented in excellent condition.

The odometer showed with ~27,776 miles at the time of our visit.

The Jaguar sat-nav system is located in the centre section, and the centre console provides controls for the drive options, spoiler, interchangeable exhaust options, and onboard computer.

The dials, switches, and controls all also appear to be in excellent condition, with surfaces free from fogging or scratching.

Steering Wheel / Gear Stick

Finished in black leather with a flat base, the Jaguar 'R' steering wheel shows really nicely. The wheel controls present well, managing the entertainment system, hands-free operation, and cruise control.

The automatic gearbox can be controlled by the control stick in the centre console and offers the driver the options to place the car into comfort, sport mode, and thanks to its all-wheel drive, icy condition driving also.

Additionally, the steering wheel has paddle shifters, allowing you to shift through the gears if you prefer manual control.

'ON THE ROAD' VIDEO

Mechanics

At the heart of the F-Type lies a supercharged 5.0L V8 beast, unleashing roaring power and a soundtrack to match - pure adrenaline every time you hit the throttle.

Engine and Gearbox

Starting up from cold, we noted no concerns, and the Jaguar performed without issue when running and out on the road. Showing in good visual condition, we saw no issues, smoke, or unusual noises.

The automatic gearbox worked smoothly on the road, with no unwanted sounds. The gearbox showed no concerns regarding its performance while driving. We took the car out around some local roads with the current owner to get a better feel for what this vehicle is all about.

During the drive, we ran through the motions, taking the F-Type through the gears and getting an overview from Charles' perspective on how the car performs.

Suspension and Brakes

The F-Type is fitted with active sports suspension which provide the driver differing road setup options. We noted no knocks, bangs, or issues from the suspension while on the road - it gave us no concerns regarding its performance or handling in any of the suspension modes.

The upgraded, larger style race brakes firmly bring the car to a halt in a straight line, with no juddering reported through the pedal.

The stopping power and control felt great, worked as expected, and were in line with our expectations for a car of this standard.

The Drive

This car can be used comfortably for driving in town and city at low revs, thanks to the torque that the 5.0L supercharged powertrain offers.

Switch the gearbox to sport mode and put the throttle to the floor, and this car turns into a completely different beast, it tightens the control to provide a more dynamic response.

Charles, the current owner, tells us more about his driving experience with the Jaguar, "The performance of the V8 is just brilliant, and when combined with the subtle carbon spec, it’s a real head turner. It drives exceptionally well on country roads and is comfortable enough to take on long road trips".

Electrics and Other

The Jaguar is very well spec'd with highlights including an "R" branded steering wheel, "R" embossed, carbon inset, electronic front seats, premium Meridian surround sound system with tweeters and sub, both parking cameras and parking sensors, and carbon accents for the body styling.

The electronic spoiler works well and the electric convertible roof operates without concern.

Charles told us that he's had no issues with the electrical elements of the car, and confirms everything is working as it should. All switches, dials, and gauges appear undamaged and are in great condition.

History and Paperwork

The F-Type comes to market with just 2 former keepers, low mileage, and a good service history - it's a stunning Jaguar and is worth a close look at what it has to offer.

First registration for the F-Type was through Jaguar themselves, so effectively this car has had two owners from new. The car has travelled very few miles in its recent ownership.

Largely original from its additional purchase spec, the F-Type has a well equipped set up including, carbon fibre wheel inserts, upgraded brakes, active suspension and premium black metallic paint.

Previous servicing works have included; oil change and new filters in September 2024, oil change, oil filters, pollen and air filters in September 2023, oil filters and wiper blades were changed in September 2021, new oil filters, pollen filters and 8 replacement spark plugs were updated in September 2021.

An oil change, oil filters and seals replacement was carried out in August 2020 and an oil change, new oil filters, new pollen and air filters and brake fluid change in September 2019. Oil change and new filters fitment was also completed in April 2016.

The owners handbook, quick start guide, F-Type introduction booklet, warranty handbook, original Jaguar folio and 2 sets of keys are also included with the final sale. By the end of the auction the F-Type will have had its service and MOT carried out by the Jaguar specialist Charles normally uses.

good afternoon
I noticed looking through the interior pictures of the dash that the emmisions warning light was on. Could you let me know what reason was for this and has the issue been fixed.

Could you also confirm that the retractable roof mechanism is in good working order and that the there are no leaks in the roof

And are the seats heated

Hi, I assume as the engine was off it was just a still photo taken during the light start-up sequence. I’m sure there’s a video clip somewhere.
In any case, it had it’s MOT and mini-service last week, 100% perfect, nothing (ever) needed, full Jag history 😉
Roof is perfect, triple lined I believe, lived in a garage all its life.
Seats are Windsor leather 14-way with memory for Driver and Passenger, and 3 heat settings

Tyres are Pirelli P Zeros all round , no idea on the tread but MOT is next week so I’ll ask. Certainly “nowhere close” is fair to say.

(AWD doesn’t trash the tyres like rear wheel)

Hi yes to the air vents, perfect working order. I double checked the DOT numbers, actually all from 2017 not 2015 apologies, I suspect Jag Assured changed them all before the previous owner, but nothing since. Will sail through MOT again next week.
