Following the footprint of the E-Type was never going to be an easy task, but Jaguar got this one right. No bloat, no filler, just the purity of an elegantly penned design without a hint of the need for the retro. The styling was one thing, but it needed the right ingredients to back up the form. Jaguar not only answered this with a wide variety of engine options but also gave the car a build quality that could tempt a buyer away from its obvious rivals.

This well-presented 2015 F-Type S V6 AWD is fitted with the V6 engine, S option. Capable of producing 375bhp, the all-wheel-drive provided a sure-footed grip to complement the cars quick-shifting eight-speed automatic gearbox and precise steering. Complete with just 27,238 miles on the clock, it also comes with almost a full years worth of MOT.

The 19" Volution alloys are in good condition, with minor signs of age noted.

The Pirelli P-Zero tyres are less than 3 years old and all look to have an even balance of tread.

Bodywork

For a car with such low mileage and careful usage, there's very little in terms of negatives to report in relation to the aluminium construction. Positive panel gaps and fit, along with no discernable damage should offer potential buyers plenty of confidence.

The paint coverage displays a healthy lustre throughout, with very little in terms of road wear damage. There is a minor scuff noted on the off-side front arch bumper and the lightest lacquer damage on the off-side roof pillar but overall a very pleasing presentation.

The car's jewellery and glass are intact with no notable damage, including the headlamp lenses and rear lights.

Like the body, the cockpit is beautifully crafted with a touch of style.

Seats and Carpets

Reflecting the car's low mileage, the leather seats are intact with nothing but the lightest elements of use. The carpets and mats are clean with no signs of wear.

Some condensation was observed on the inside of the boot hatch glass, but the carpets were dry.

Dashboard

The dashboard is in good shape, with the dials or switchgear all looking tidy.

The centre console plastics display a few marks but all of the leather sections are good.

Everything operates and functions as it should.

No issues were noted with the condition of the steering wheel, paddle shifts or gear lever.

Mechanics

The F-Types all-wheel drive system offers phenomenal grip.

Engine and Gearbox

The car had not been started over a period of time but fired up after a particularly cold night without any issues, and idled sweetly without any warning lights being flagged up on the dashboard.

Any cold weather condensation soon cleared up.

The owner has admitted that they rarely use the manual mode but demonstrated its function during the on-the-road video. The engine presentation suggested no concerns, with a positive service history to back this up.

Suspension and Brakes

Demonstrated to work as expected, and the braking of the car was even and without any pull or drama. The steering was shown to be precise. The suspension gave out no knocks or thuds during the 10-minute drive.

The Drive

A nimble and manageable car, the F-Type is a car that, thanks to its all-wheel drive system, felt amazingly planted. The firm ride characteristics may feel unfamiliar in a Jaguar, particularly on the country roads but the owner has said it deals with the occasional trip up north via the faster roads without any problems. The active exhaust control, which increases or decreases the acoustics offers the driver plenty of encouragement to find the open road to appreciate the car in full song.

Electrics and Other

The car is also fitted with an aftermarket roadcam, which will be reattached in time for the new owner's handover.

History and Paperwork

A low mileage example that has yet to see 28,000 miles, this car comes to market from ~5 year ownership.

Other than servicing and addressing GPS sat nav issues, Tony has told us that the car has been reliable throughout his ownership. It comes with its original owners' wallet and was last serviced in the summer of 2021, not much more than 3,000 miles ago. It has an MOT until January 2024.
