Introduction
Dom Ginn
A touch of class in a well-proven package, the R107 is a stalwart when it comes to 80s classic lineups.
A car that could be easily be described as one that sells itself. Its reputation as a well-made, sensible and practical car with plenty of road-holding decorum and an excellent parts network, endears itself to many people seeking comfort with a touch of class. When first released in 1971, not even Mercedes Benz could have predicted its 18-year production run. However those early cars may share the same silhouette, but the 1980s brought in a host of useful improvements including a new set of efficient engines, full body galvanising and a desirability that seems to get stronger with each passing year.
As one of the last examples to leave the production line, it is considered among the most desirable of the R107 series. This 1989 "Midnight Blue" car was actually only registered on 01.01.1990 and comes with its factory hardtop, an impressive servicing record, as well as a considerable amount of recent cosmetic spending. The car has not even seen ~1,000 miles since its last service and it comes with an MOT to June 2023.
