The Mercedes CL63 AMG is a high-performance luxury coupé powered by a 6.2-litre naturally aspirated V8 engine producing ~518bhp and ~465lb-ft of torque. It is paired with a 7-speed AMG Speedshift automatic transmission, enabling a 0-60mph time of around ~4.5 seconds. The car features AMG-tuned Active Body Control (ABC) suspension, providing improved handling and ride comfort. Braking is handled by AMG high-performance brakes with large cross-drilled rotors. The exterior is distinguished by a wider stance, AMG body styling, and quad exhaust tips. Inside, it features premium leather upholstery, aluminium and wood trim, AMG sport seats, and a COMAND infotainment system with navigation and premium audio. Safety features include adaptive cruise control, Pre-Safe collision preparation, and a full suite of airbags. The CL63 AMG balances luxury and performance in a well-engineered grand tourer.

I’ve always been a huge fan of the CL-Class and SL-Class - I had to have this example.

Purchased in 2019, Hardain came across this rather special 2007 Mercedes CL AMG. What makes it special, you ask? Well, there are two things: the first being that it was purchased by a Saudi Arabian Prince (which is shown on the original V5); the second is that it only has ~8,355 miles.

Cherished by Hardain since he purchased the CL, it is now time for something with a couple more doors due to a new arrival in the family.

The ultimate pillarless coupé based on the already brilliant CL.

Wheels and Tyres

Fitted with the factory AMG alloy wheels, these are in excellent condition with no signs of damage or corrosion to the faces. The Pirelli tyres have recently been replaced due to the others perishing with age.

Bodywork

The CL’s bodywork is in superb condition with no dings, dents or other damage to note, and the panel gaps align just as Mercedes intended.

Paint

Finished in Iridium Silver, the paintwork is in superb condition with no blemishes that we could see; it still looks factory-fresh.

Glass and Trim

All of the windows are in good order, with no noticeable scratches. A dark smoke tint was also applied to add some extra privacy.

Interior

Mercedes certainly took luxury to the next level with the CL63 AMG.

Seats and Carpets

Finished in black leather, the seats are in excellent condition with just the smallest amount of colour wear to the driver's bolster, but this is very minimal.

The seats are also electric and function correctly. However, the massage function on the driver's seat does have a fault; the vendor has removed the module (which is included) because it inflated the seat at random intervals.

The carpets throughout are like new, having covered very few miles. A set of factory mats is also fitted and is in excellent condition.

The inside of the boot is clean and tidy.

Dashboard

As you would expect from the mileage, the dashboard is free of scuffs or marks. All of the instruments are working correctly, no warning lights are displayed, and the odometer shows a reading of ~8,215 miles at the time of our visit.

Steering Wheel / Gear Stick

The steering wheel shows little sign of use.

Some of the buttons have gone a little sticky due to their age.

Mechanics

Lots of litres and in the format of a V8 - it was always going to be amazing!

Engine and Gearbox

The 6.2-litre V8 fires up instantly and runs smoothly - the factory AMG exhaust sounds fantastic.

On the road, the gear change is smooth, and there are no unwanted noises from the transmission. Obviously, with 6.2 litres under the bonnet, the CL63 pulls like a train through the seven-speed gearbox.

Suspension and Brakes

Massive dinner plate-sized 390mm discs are fitted to the front with huge AMG calipers, bringing the car to a stop with ease when needed and with no issues reported.

The switchable ABC Sports suspension is a joy to have on the road. It is perfectly capable of providing a comfortable ride or adjusting itself for a more spirited drive at the touch of a button.

Everything is reported to be working correctly from the seller, apart from the driver’s side seat massager, as mentioned earlier.

History and Paperwork

The Mercedes spent several years with diplomatic status.

For several years, whilst in ownership with the Prince, the car received diplomatic status, which meant it didn’t need to be taken for an MOT, explaining the lack of MOT history. It comes with a fresh, advisory free, MOT valid until 28.03.2026. Hardain had a vehicle check carried out on the car on 13.04.2026, you can see this in the paperwork gallery.

There is the original owner's manual and some invoices for an oil change service and diagnostic work.

This 2007 Mercedes CL AMG is quite possibly the lowest-mileage example around. With just ~8,355 miles, it is in fantastic condition. At over ~£100,000 when new, it will be an absolute bargain for one lucky bidder.
