A one-off passion project turned in to a 492bhp monster by Kleemann with no expense spared.

This isn’t your everyday executive coupe... The E500 has been ludicrously improved by Kleemann, the renowned tuning company based in Denmark, commissioned by passionate owner Gavin. Somewhere in the region of £40,000 has been spent on the car to create a unique E500.

Along with the power plant upgrade, the car has also been styled extensively through Klass Service, Edinburgh, who are known for making top of the pile show cars. Sitting on fully adjustable air suspension, this car can have a number of personalities.

Meet the owner

Truly my pride and joy - I get butterflies every time I start the engine.

Gavin is the owner responsible for turning this beautiful executive coupe into a highly versatile machine that allows the driver to enjoy many different experiences. He is super passionate about cars and chose only the best to tune his newly purchased E500 back in 2016. After email correspondence with the owner of Kleemann - which can be seen in the history - Gavin took the car to Denmark and this incredibly unique creation was born. He has since formed a close relationship with Claus, the owner of Kleemann, and talk cars all day!

Gavin enjoyed the car in the first couple of years before travelling around the world and eventually set on the mission of building a hotel in Bali - very nice! Although reluctant about the sale, he knows this car needs to be driven and selflessly wants a new passionate owner to enjoy the car. To add to confidence the car is currently in the process of having a fresh MOT carried out, and has had the front discs and pads replaced, more to follow on this in the history and comments section, all bidders will be notified of any changes.

Looking absolutely class, Klass Service, Edinburgh styled the car on Gavin's request.

Wheels and Tyres

Fitted with 20" TRW Rasscese Alloys 285/25/R20 all round exemplifying the aggression the car possesses.

A full set of Falken Azenis Fk510 with excellent tread is wrapped around the tidy rims that look in excellent condition with some minor blemishes. Golden brown AMG brake callipers offer one of many exciting twists about this one of a kind example. Gavin has taken various photos of the car at different stances utilising the air suspension.

Bodywork

As you can see by the photos, Gavin has kept the bodywork in excellent condition since the project was completed, just one blemish we spotted in the form of a slight dent on the front nearside wheel arch.

A black boot spoiler and front / rear carbon splitters with matching wrap under the door cards and grill - wow!

Paint

Set in a stunning Silver Grey, the colours keep on giving and contrasts nicely with the tinted windows.

Looking fantastic and even across this unique car, though just the usual, but very minor stone chips along the front.

Glass and Trim

All in excellent condition across the car having had black trim placed around the windows by Klass. To accentuate the sporty look, even more, black AMG badges have been added.

Privacy glass has also been installed and looks great.

Presented in a fine condition any new custodian will be proud of.

Seats and Carpets

Black leather heated and electrically adjustable seats have been maintained well over the last 9 years of use. A couple of scuffs on the driver’s seat gradually turn into a much better condition towards the centre.

Black AMG floor mats are presented cleanly whilst the fabric ascending from there has also been kept spotless.

Dashboard

Speedometer positioned in the centre with and electronic HUD is completed with excellent condition and of course, ergonomically placed buttons along the centre console and door cards.

Single CD Drive / Radio 5.8 display is placed above the centre console with AUX capabilities and Bluetooth interface for handsfree communications.

Steering Wheel / Gear Stick

Media and cruise control laid out on and around the steering wheel offer convenience and comfort with the excellent condition. Fully operating paddle-shift levers are situated behind the wheel.

The automatic stick looks great in line with the rest of the excellent interior.

Mechanics

Kleemann, Denmark, have tuned this car from top to bottom, roaring and popping.

Engine and Gearbox

The engine conversion on the 5.5L V8 is the undeniable masterpiece of this incredible machine - creating supreme performance whilst nullifying the extra fuel consumption through a Prinz (VSI) LPG conversion, encompassing a 700-mile range delivering 45mpg at best - developed in cooperation with Kleemann. Costing a resounding £19,135, the engine has been tuned up with custom head porter and high lift cam set by Kleemann that ignites the V8 roar producing 492 bhp.

To increase the responsiveness of the engine further, a custom downpipe, exhaust headers, Kleemann ECU mapping and air filter have been applied. The 7-speed automatic gearbox changes gear very responsively having had a £2,200 limited-slip differential added by Kleemann that provides more power when needed on the roads.

Suspension and Brakes

As you can see by the video, the E500 has air suspension, allowing the driver to choose their ride height. This is operated through a Blister Air Ride kit with an added compressor for a faster lift.

The ventilated brake discs with ABS look great too, having been serviced regularly throughout their life, and new ones being fitted on the front in August 2020.

The Drive

Gavin filmed a few videos of himself starting the car, pulling off, coming round the bends - and testing out the lift performance of the suspension.

This car looks like a real thrill to drive. There’s a snippet in the video where Gavin accelerates hard, power coming through instantly.

Electrics and Other

All of the original electronics on the car function well to this day having been cared for correctly through all previous owners with service history records and invoices.

We are assured by the current owner that the car has no issues and is ready to drive and enjoy.

Built by the best in the trade with confidence and reliability, a new breed of life was injected into the fast saloon.

As proudly mentioned throughout this listing, Kleemann has done a great job of making a dream car for Gavin and has enjoyed it for the first 2 years of ownership. Photos of the works and email correspondence between Gavin and the owner of Kleemann can be found in the paperwork gallery.

With three keepers prior to himself, the car has always been cared for and maintained. MOT expired in 2018 (as Gavin was travelling abroad), however, he has booked the car in for a fresh MOT and has identified the current issues which are now getting fixed / replaced.
