There is something incredibly classic about this G Class/G Wagon/G Wagen... It probably stems from a design that is ultimately derived from the original in the 70s. This 2012 example is the G350D variant, powered by a V6 diesel engine, and ready to transport passengers in style, comfort and safety. And, it can reach 0-62mph in under 9 seconds which isn’t bad with a 2.5-ton machine!

This example comes with full service history, and recently has had an A service in prep for the sale.

Surjit loves cars, always in the market for another driving experience.

Surjit definitely fits the category of "petrolhead". He's been lucky enough to own a whole host of cars over the years, and has a habit of collect ones that he knows inside out. This is one of 3 G-Wagons he owns! Not wanting to get a reputation for being a hoarder, after enjoying this for a year he is now looking to find it a new home.

He's going through a bit of a change now with regards the cars he owns, focusing a bit more on relaxed GT cars, but he'll be keeping one of his G Wagons as a workhorse for a long time to come.

Exterior

With the black on black exterior colour-way, this car has a "don't mess" presence on the road.

Wheels and Tyres

The 18” 5 twin-spoke alloys are colour matched and look free from any curb damage etc. The colour of the wheels really add to the overall presence this car has.

General Grabber tyres are wrapped around each wheel maintaining good tread.

Bodywork

A vast and large car in the LWB/station wagon format. All is in good order and there are no dents or rust visible as per the media captured.

The doors are heavy and provide a satisfying ‘clunk’ when shut. The total height of the car is 195cm with the ground clearance at 20cm.

Paint

Finished in black, the paint is even and we didn't observe any issues/imperfections upon our documentation.

Unfortunately you'll see lots of watermarks and dirt in the photos, the car was washed on a hot day and subsequently picked up a bit of dust in the wind. Take a look through the video review to see the detail.

Glass and Trim

All in excellent condition across the car. Blacked out windows on the rear of the car to match the general theme on this one.

Interior

A proper luxury cabin, leather and wood everywhere, a big step-up from the classic G-Wagon.

Seats and Carpets

Electrically adjustable driver and passenger heated leather seats look in very good condition, showing no rips or tears. Finished in black leather, they give you a proper arm-chair feel while operating.

Surjit has installed made to fit, aftermarket protective matting in the car. These mean you don't have to worry so much getting back in to the car if your feet are a bit grubby from a proper off road adventure.

Dashboard

Black-on-black throughout with this example, with dark brown burr walnut wood trim.

Speedometer and tachometer gauges are crisp and clean. A digital display situated in the centre of the two that displays mileage, temperature and range etc, all looking in excellent condition.

Steering Wheel / Gear Stick

The leather-wrapped steering wheel looks great with no issues. Media controls allow for ergonomic convenience.

The 5-Speed automatic gearstick coloured in the brown trim looks excellent and feels great.

'ON THE ROAD' VIDEO

Mechanics

A powerful 3.0L diesel V6, pushing out 208BHP and 398 lb ft of torque to all the wheels.

Engine and Gearbox

The 3.0L diesel V6 hums very nicely. On our drive out, we were really impressed with how well the engine pulls. It sounded great on cold start up too, no smoke from cold to worry on as documented in the video review.

The gear changes are through the 5-speed automatic system, we tested the manual changes and these work a treat too.

Suspension and Brakes

The underside of the car looks great, no scary corrosion spotted. The huge ground clearance is paired with a three-way locking differential that makes the places to go endless.

The disc brakes are looking clean and free from any rust or corrosion also.

The Drive

The car really is great to drive. We took it on a quick blast up and down some local main roads. It's a proper luxury SUV, and take very little effort to pilot with the powerful drivetrain and smooth automatic gearbox.

There are not many places this car won’t go so get your maps out and see where your new ride will take.

The car is heavily equipped features for your convenience, entertainment and reliability.
