Inspired by the “Sebring” cars of the 1960s, this lovely example is the ideal road racer.
A perfect blend of a charismatic and nimble roadster with the benefit of a vast competition history, the original MGB GT "Sebring" cars were developed and built in-house by the BMC Competition Department in Abingdon for use in world sports car racing. Financial constraints meant that only two cars were built, but they both competed in the Sebring 12-hour events into the late 1960s.
While this MG is inspired by the original “Sebring”, it benefits from a number of useful modifications - not your average MGB Roadster, as you can see.
Coming from almost a year with our vendor, this Sebring-inspired build has been extremely well executed, giving the MGB that little edge over other models.

Hi. Yes the car has had a passed every MOT since with no advisory so this was sorted as part of the full restoration by the previous owner. Please take a look at all the photos in the listing which include the sill and reflects it’s condition
Hi Lovely MG 🙂 on start up the engine is shaking all over the place like it is missfiring or trying to run on 3 cylinders is it always like that or does it remain still after it has warmed up?

Hi. Thank you, it is a beautiful car. Yes it is quite normal for this be like this on a cold start however it does settle down once the engine has warmed up

Is there any paperwork from TR Blitz regarding the conversion?
Hi. Unfortunately no there isn’t any paperwork for this from them. It was the owner of the company who owned this car and restoration is what they do so was done to a high standard. Please take a look at all the photos on the listing which reflect the car’s true condition. Thank you
Hi Dean. I can see that on 28.09. 2021 mot there was an advisory for corrosion on nsr suspension and an inner sill problem, can you tell me if this has been addressed.

Hi Dean, the car looks fantastic. Could you please clarify if the black Schutz/underseal on the underside and sills was applied during the TR Bitz restoration ~5 years ago, or if it was applied more recently? Also, could you confirm if any fresh metal or sill replacement work was carried out during that restoration, or if the original sills were simply treated and sealed? Thanks
Hi. Thank you for getting in touch. The car was dry stored for the majority of its life in America and also in the UK and has only seen rain maybe a few times so all the panels and undersills are completely original. The restoration with TR Bitz included a full respray and original sills being treated and sealed so there is absolutely no rust. The car is absolutely stunning throughout. Thank you.

Do you know if the car was converted LHD->RHD when imported from the US ?

Hi. Yes the car was converted from left hand drive to right hand drive when it was imported over. It had a full road race restoration around 6 years ago but kept all the original body panels
Is the clutch and gearbox smooth?
How hard would it be to put classic bumpers back on the car?
The clutch and gearbox runs perfectly with no issues. I bought the car as if is in terms of the body conversion however I don’t think it would be too difficult to have classic bumpers put back onto the car
