Introduction
Paul Wright
Desirable final edition of the Porsche 944 S2 Cabriolet.
First released in 1982, the Porsche 944 was based on the 924 but featured considerably more striking contours, as well as a redesigned front bumper with a lower spoiler and wider, more angular wings.
Porsche then introduced the S2 in 1989, bringing with it a 3.0L naturally aspirated four-cylinder engine that set a record as the largest four-cylinder engine of its time. With an increased power output of ~208 bhp, the S2 was quoted to be a 150 mph car when matched with the manual five-speed gearbox, as we have on this example, making it substantially quicker and more capable than previous iterations of the 944.
All of this, combined with the typically low Porsche driving position and driver-centric dashboard design, means that the Porsche 944 S2 offers a very engaging and interactive experience for the driver, and to top it off, you can even take the roof off, enhancing the driving experience further.
This 1992 944 S2 has been with the vendor from new, making you the second owner to cherish this convertible front-engined Porsche - it comes with a current MOT valid until 15.02.2027.
This listing was written from information supplied by Paul after meeting Gerry the owner, and having visited and photographed the vehicle.

Hello Andy, as best you can could describe the condition of the roof and the rear window?
Hi there,
The roof and rear window are in pretty good condition but please reference Trade Classic description regarding any possible specific commentary for these features
Hi Would it be possible I can view the car in person
Hi,
Yes no problem. Pls let me know when you would like to view it
Would Wednesday afternoon around 1pm be OK
Hi,
We can help arrange a viewing for you, if you could send an email to [email protected] first we just need to do some checks.
Thanks,
Colin.
Hi Colin I’ve sent an email
Can we meet at the Tudor Rose on Wednesday at 12
Hi,
It would have to be at the home address in Caldy, if that works pls suggest a date and time and we can go from there
Hi,
Can you make 2pm pls at my dad’s house?
If this time works, and in order to maximise efficiency for both parties, pls can you give an indicative price (subject to the car meeting your liking) you would be willing to pay as the current bidding is miles away from its true value
I’m thinking of bidding but there are a few things that concerns me – oil leak etc but I would like to view before hand, I live just outside Mold so not far away
Should be OK, probably best to meet at the Cottage Loaf at 2 then follow you to the address
Hi Trade Classics have contacted me and asked if you can organise the viewing through them and we can then organise it that way. many thanks
Hi I’ve emailed Trade Classics with the requested checks but not received a response, I’m out this morning but I’ll check this page at lunchtime to see if I have had a response with your address if not see you at the Cottage Loaf at 2pm

Hi,

Hi Carl,
You should have the address, I’ve replied to your email with it.
Thanks,
Colin.
Unfortunately the signal is terrible here and I’m struggling with accessing my emails but I’ll keep trying however I’ll wait until 4pm then head back home
Hi,
We can help arrange a viewing for you, if you could send an email to [email protected] first, we just need to do some checks.

Hi Colin, I’ve completed what you have requested but not received a response
Hi Colin,
Pls can you respond asap to the interested potential buyer / Glasfryn regarding the planned viewing this afternoon

Haven’t received any answer to my question 5 days ago?
hi
Have you changed the front seat upholstery. Was it originally fabric centres or leather or vinyl.
Has the car always been garaged in the Wirral.
Thanks
The upholstery was changed c.6 years ago to a quality fabric, it was originally fabric
Hi,
I am replying on behalf of my dad. There was an error on my behalf, the original material was fabric and has now been replaced with leather.
Yes, the vehicle has been garaged on the Wirral for all of its 34 Years.
