Introduction

The car goes very well and has a large history. The car has sat-nav, (Apple i-play), hands free phone connection, parking buzzers all round, reverse camera, and spare wheel in front in a cover.

Age is against me now as I am nearly 82 years young: I bought the car over a year ago and I am now finding it difficult to get out.

I have always wanted a convertible after owning two previous models of 911 Carrera and Cayman but my age is now catching up with me. The car was put through its MOT last September and had suspension bushes replaced - although it was not a failure issue.

Exterior

The car is in excellent condition for its age and people are shocked when I tell them how old it is. Because of the private plate it is age-anonymous! The Porsche specialist who does the maintenance told me that he could not believe how nice it is.

Wheels and Tyres

The wheels are in very good order, per the photographs.

The front tyres were changed just over 3,000 miles ago and the backs are good. All tyres are Pirelli P Zeros

Bodywork

There are few marks anywhere on the car other than possibly an odd small chip although I have just looked and cannot see any.

Paint

The paint remains excellent, and is polished on a regular basis.

Glass and Trim

Unmarked glass and trim as good as when new.

Interior

The car feels modern with sat-nav, i-player and reversing camera, and parking sensors all round.

Everything works as it should.

Seats and Carpets

The seats are virtually unmarked leather and the carpets and overmats show minimal wear.

Dashboard

The display unit and all the extras ensure it looks great.

Steering Wheel / Gear Stick

Both gearstick and steering wheel are as good as new to look at.

Mechanics

Very low mileage at just over 36k .Had six new plugs and a service last year.

Any small issues have been fixed as required. This week it was in to get the passenger door window fixed as it did not go down when opening and the switch did not work - but the garage waved its magic wand again. Motortune at Shotts are great.

Engine and Gearbox

Good order especially as the mileage is so low.

Suspension and Brakes

Brand new MOT in September.

New bushes were fitted on the front arms as I was told that there was slight wear, although they commented that it would not have failed its mot even if they had not been done.

The Drive

The car is a lovely drive, as well maintained Boxsters always are. It goes as it should.

Electrics and Other

Sat nav, reverse camera, front and rear buzzers are fitted and working. It even has a telephone connection! Everything is working as it should be.

History and Paperwork

I have many invoices to show how well the car has been maintained and kept in tip top condition. The condition of the car belies its age.

I will provide plenty proof to verify how well it has been looked after.
Accessories include the spare wheel plus the full set of jack, keys, etc.
Please note: the private plate will be removed before sale.

    What is your reserve policy?

    A reserve is the minimum price a seller is willing to accept for their vehicle. We work closely with sellers to set realistic reserves that reflect current market values — we don’t take on vehicles with inflated or unrealistic expectations.

    If the reserve isn’t met when the auction ends, we’ll work with the highest bidder to try and agree a deal with the seller.

    Whether the reserve has been met may / may not be disclosed during the auction — just like a traditional auction house. Bidders usually find out if they’ve won only when the auction ends.

    As a guide:
    – If you’re able to place a second bid, the reserve hasn’t been met.
    – If you attempt to outbid yourself and the system blocks it, then the reserve has been met.

    Why shouldn’t I leave bidding to the last minute?

    Auto-Extending Bidding – we’ve developed auto-extending auctions that mimic traditional auction house bidding; it’s a key feature to make sure classic vehicles achieve their true worth. Bids placed in the last one minute automatically extend the auction by two further minutes. So there is no need to leave bidding to the last second.

    Security – we operate higher levels of security, so you may need to enter further authorisations against your stored card after you select ‘Place Bid’. All this takes time and may mean you miss the end of the auction by the time the authorisation passes. To guarantee your bid, we recommend at least five minutes are active on the auction when you place your bid.

    Network Connection – your device may lose connection and you’re not able to bid, or see the latest bidding history.
