Porsche rolled out a new take on the Targa of their legendary 911 in 2006, which combined the rigidity of the coupe with the freedom of the convertible. By the use of a huge UV repelling sliding glass, it retained the torsional rigidity and security expected in a Porsche with no significant compromise. The all-wheel-drive Carrera 4S version offered a useful 40BHP extra over the standard 4, which was enhanced by the upgraded braking system mounted on a set of 19" alloys.
The 997 models received a significant mid-cycle refresh in 2008 and subject to a whole host of improvements including new engines, revised suspension but most importantly the timely and much welcomed replacement of the troublesome Tiptronic S gearbox, with the Dual-clutch transmission system known as the PDK. Said to be the last of the true nimble 911's before the 991 took over, the Gen 2 comes with a host of features that increase its desirability.

I’m not sure if its just the photos but it looks like the Fabric lining around the door pillars is creased & worn, and is there discolouring around the rear drivers side seat ?

Since I’ve owned it for just over 12 months major service carried out, not sure about bore scoring
