Introduction

This car is in first class condition throughout, and still wears its beautiful, original Porcelain White paintwork.

The car is totally original and unrestored - it's covered just ~44,000 miles and has been meticulously maintained with over £10,500 having been spent in the last 2 years alone - it has a current MOT and drives and handles superbly.

I have had the pleasure of owning this lovely low mileage Silver Shadow for just under 6 years. Unfortunately, I'm very reluctantly having to sell her due to re-location: it's not practical to take the car with me. She has been an absolute pleasure to own and drive.

I have no hesitation to say she has been the most comfortable car I have ever had the pleasure of owning and it will be sad to see her go.

Exterior

The exterior condition can only be described as immaculate - the very shiny original white paintwork is in superb condition.

Wheels and Tyres

All the wheels, rims, and hubcaps are in excellent condition.

The wheels are shod in matching 15" 225/75 Cooper Lifesaver steel belted radial whitewall tyres, which are all in great examined condition with good even treads.

Bodywork

The Bodywork is in fantastic almost showroom condition - there are no dings, marks, or dents and this is a very rare rust-free example.

The undersealed underside is in superb condition and very clean.

All the door gaps, bonnet, and boot fitments are superbly aligned. Doors open and close with ease.

There are no signs of corrosion spots or bubbles on the car. Top and bottom of pillars, door bottoms and roof panel etc are all spot-free.

Paint

The Porcelain White paintwork is unmarked and in showroom condition.

My opinion would be that the paintwork is exceptional.

There are no scratches or scuffs to be found.

Glass and Trim

The glass, seals, and trims are all in pristine condition.

There are no cracks or scratches to be seen and all trims are correct and complete.

All chrome fittings, including front and rear bumpers, are in excellent order.

There are no cracks or discolouration to any of the light lenses.

Interior

The sumptuous leather seats and thick Wilton Carpets contribute to the sublime comfort and ride of this lovely vehicle.

Seats and Carpets

The interior can only be described as being as comfortable as home armchairs.

The leather seats are superbly presented, having been regularly cleaned and conditioned in my ownership. There's very minimal creasing, with no splits or tears.

The blue Wilton Carpets are also in blemish-free condition and meticulously looked after and protected by over mats.

The carpets all completely damp-free.

Dashboard

The dashboard is in fantastic condition, with absolutely no fading, splitting, or cracks anywhere. It is still shiny with all dials and gauges in superb functional condition.

Burr Walnut facia is in excellent shape.

The headlining, cabin trim, and door cards are all in excellent condition.

Steering Wheel / Gear Stick

The steering wheel and surrounding coverings all present very well, with only the steering wheel showing very minimal signs of wear.

The column-mounted gear lever is in good shape and works as it should.

Mechanics

The car has been meticulously maintained, with no expense spared - as demonstrated by the extensive servicing records.

Engine and Gearbox

The engine and gearbox are both original and perform as they should: this is an excellent first time starter that runs very smoothly and effortlessly, with no unwanted knocks or groans. One of the tappets/valves may need slight adjustment (a little ticking when engine is cold). This soon disappears when warmed up and oil pressure rises.

The engine has been regularly serviced by Rolls-Royce specialist garages as previous invoices show.

Oils have been regularly changed and all hoses, etc. regularly maintained.

Suspension and Brakes

The suspension and brakes are all in first class condition, having been professionally maintained as previous invoices will show.

All receipts for recent professional overhauls are to hand.

A complete braking system overhaul, including strip down and replacement of accumulators, fluid, and sensing/control valves are indicated in the paperwork.

The Drive

The car drives absolutely superbly - very smooth and it pulls effortlessly, as she should.

This car has been the most comfortable drive of any car that I have every owned or driven. I will be sad to see her go.

The car wants for nothing and there are none of the usual knocks or rattles present.

Electrics and Other

All of the electrics are in good condition.

The wiring looms are all in good order.

The electric aerial needs a little help sometimes, however.

History and Paperwork

This beautiful Shadow has very low mileage, backed up by previous MOTs and servicing paperwork.

This Silver Shadow has benefited from regular specialist serving and maintaining throughout the past 54 years of Its interesting history. An extremely well looked after car, as receipts, records, and photos will demonstrate. No Expense has been spared to keep this car in first class condition. It has an MOT until February 2026, and past MOT records are included.

Over £10,500 has been spent on maintenance and servicing alone since 2023. In total I've spent just over £11,500 to keep her in tip top condition during my ownership. There are receipts during this period for £1,077.75 - £2,008.73 - £6,594.71 - £795 - £655.25 and £1,421.25. Large invoices in 2021 for £2,475.39 - £1,492 and £2,740.

There is a very extensive maintenance and history file, backing up the provenance and mileage of the car. Most importantly, there are numerous invoices for maintenance of the braking system and suspension. Largest Invoices are for the sums of £6,594.71, £2,008.73, £2,475.39, £2,740, £2,030.40 and £9,093.44 during recent years and are available for inspection.

Original spare wheel and tyre, original jack, and associated tools are included. Original handbooks and main dealer sales books/brochures are also included. There is also a set of very sought-after Sheepskin Over Rugs available (by separate negotiation - not included in the auction).

The car was used in a press advertisement for Concorde, details and photographs included.

    What is your reserve policy?

    A reserve is the minimum price a seller is willing to accept for their vehicle. We work closely with sellers to set realistic reserves that reflect current market values — we don’t take on vehicles with inflated or unrealistic expectations.

    If the reserve isn’t met when the auction ends, we’ll work with the highest bidder to try and agree a deal with the seller.

    Whether the reserve has been met may / may not be disclosed during the auction — just like a traditional auction house. Bidders usually find out if they’ve won only when the auction ends.

    As a guide:
    – If you’re able to place a second bid, the reserve hasn’t been met.
    – If you attempt to outbid yourself and the system blocks it, then the reserve has been met.

    Why shouldn’t I leave bidding to the last minute?

    Auto-Extending Bidding – we’ve developed auto-extending auctions that mimic traditional auction house bidding; it’s a key feature to make sure classic vehicles achieve their true worth. Bids placed in the last one minute automatically extend the auction by two further minutes. So there is no need to leave bidding to the last second.

    Security – we operate higher levels of security, so you may need to enter further authorisations against your stored card after you select ‘Place Bid’. All this takes time and may mean you miss the end of the auction by the time the authorisation passes. To guarantee your bid, we recommend at least five minutes are active on the auction when you place your bid.
