We know at Trade Classics that there is a lot of work to be done on this car. But if you’re passionate and get complete satisfaction from doing exactly that then this is the one for you. We know that once this has had a full restoration to the highest of standards then this car is going to look absolutely stunning.

It is a shame that Brian wasn’t able to find the time to restore this machine but sometimes you are unable to do everything in life. You can see in the ‘Meet the Owner’ that he will be sad to see this go, however, he is excited to see what the new owner can do with it.

Meet the owner

I want someone that will ‘cherish’ the car and hopefully take me for a ride out when it is beautifully restored again one day.

Brian has owned the car for over 50 years. During its hay day, Brian enjoyed using it to go on tours with his friends and then used it to drive during work. His intention was to give the car some much needed TLC and bought some parts for it – unfortunately due to his busy work schedule he was unable to complete the work and now understands it needs a full restoration. Brian has said he will kindly give the new owner the parts he has bought for the car.

Brian will be really sad to see it go – but as he’s got older, he realises that he doesn’t have the time to restore such a loveable vehicle.

Wheels and Tyres

The car is fitted with the original wheels that can be restored upon initial inspection. Brian has told us that he has a full set of new tyres available that is part of the purchase.

Bodywork

Please watch all the videos carefully. There is notable rust corrosion on the skirts and rear of the car.

Paint

We recommend the new owner brings this car back to life with a respray once restoration of the body has been completed.

Glass and Trim

A new windscreen will be included in the sale along with a list of other parts.

The interior will also need a full restoration – some pieces may be salvageable. We know the new owner will get so much satisfaction by undertaking such a project.

Seats and Carpets

We would recommend a full restoration of the seats and carpets.

Dashboard

The dashboard seems to be in reasonable condition and we would recommend restoring this piece. Keeping the original dashboard in will sustain the character and originality of the car.

Steering Wheel / Gear Stick

The original steering will look great once cleaned and restored. There is no gear stick at this point in time.

The Drive

As this car hasn’t started for many years, a lot of the parts will need to be completely replaced. A full restoration is needed – Brian and all of us at Trade Classics are desperate for this to happen.
