Introduction
Dom Ginn
The Mondial has become a capable and increasingly appreciated Ferrari model, particularly for its practicality and relative affordability within the brand.
Ferraris have always commanded a notable appeal for status, rarity and heritage. The very sight of the prancing horse emblem equates to quality, performance and exclusivity. Uncompromising and often impractical, Ferrari owners tended to overlook such factors, which makes the Mondial a unique model in the Ferrari portfolio. Under the skin, the Mondial was very much the red-blooded definition of a Ferrari sports car, but it introduced a whole new facet to entice new customers. Recognised for its blend of sportiness and usability, accommodating four passengers and comparative affordability, the introduction of the Mondial in 1980 rewarded Ferrari with immediate success and soon became a best seller. Regular updates to include the arrival of the Cabriolet in 1983, followed by more powerful engines, improved cabins, and a revised exterior helped maintain the car's popularity.
Coming to market after ~ 2 years with our vendor this Mondial is fitted with the ~270BHP 3.2-litre V8 engine, smartly presented, the 1987 Cabriolet is finished in "Rosso Corsa" with a beige leather interior and has just ~20,414 miles recorded on the clock. It comes with its owner's wallet and booklet.

I WANT ONEAsk Questions
Given that the car was registered 20/01/1987
The cars just falls outside of Historic Status for April 2027
Do you have anything in the paperwork that would support a 1986 build date ( requirement for the DVLA if Historic status was to run from April 27rather than April 2028)
Rgds
Good evening sorry for the delay. I’ll have to double check the paperwork I have but I don’t think it does but I know often if you dig deeper you could be correct it’s mot till July 2026
no problem, to me its an incredibly clean car, its not been out in the rain at all since ive owned it and told exactly the same, it was in a heated carpeted hangar and never went with out, its not been driven much by me hence wanting some one else to enjoy it, ive been out with the kids and had plenty of space and practical
Good morning Adam,
i purchased the car 2 years ago, the man i bought it from had just had the cambelt changed for selling, he left the old one in the car as proof for me, at that point it also had an oil change and filter etc, the man i purchased from had a large collection and was previously a mechanic at Ferarri/ lamborghini specialist so had carried out a lot himself
Thank you, that gives me a bit of reassurance.
Hi Sam, when was the last engine service carried out? And given the cam belt is advised to be changed every 3 years, do you know when this was last changed? Thanks Adam.
