Introduction
Paul Wright
Fewer than ~850 Lancia Flaminias were produced, making this a highly desirable and collectable piece of Italian history.
The Lancia Flaminia Convertible is a refined example of post-war Italian motoring, blending elegant design with advanced engineering. Introduced in 1959 as part of Lancia’s flagship Flaminia range, the successor to the Aurelia, the convertible was among the most exclusive variants, bodied by Carrozzeria Touring of Milan using their lightweight Superleggera construction technique.
Powered by a smooth V6 engine, initially 2.5 litres and later enlarged to 2.8 litres, the Flaminia offered up to 150bhp. It featured a rear-mounted transaxle with a four-speed manual gearbox, independent front suspension, and a De Dion rear axle; hallmarks of Lancia’s innovative engineering.
The Touring-bodied convertible stood out for its sleek lines, restrained chrome detailing, and well-appointed interior. With fewer than ~850 examples built, it’s a rare and highly desirable collectors' car. Today, the Flaminia Convertible is celebrated as a symbol of 1960s Italian style and sophistication, offering open-air touring with timeless elegance.
This fantastic 1962 example was imported by Mike (the owner) nine years ago and he's cared for the desirable Italian classic ever since.
This listing was written from information supplied by Paul after meeting Mike the owner, and having visited and photographed the vehicle.

Steering – no problem, except that Yorkshire country roads are terrible.
Tyres will be over 10 years old
