Arguably one of the most attractive GT’s money can buy, the Maserati GranTurismo has all the looks, and the V8 power and sound to match.

The GranTurismo (Tipo M145) was produced by Maserati from ’07 to ’19. It set a record for the quickest developed car in automotive history - going from design to production in just 9 months.

The 'Sport' replaced both the 'S' and 'S automatic'. First unveiled in 2012, the 4.7L engine was revised offering the driver 454BHP to tap into. The Sport is set apart from the regular GranTurismo with its Stradale-inspired front fascia, new headlights, sportier steering wheel and seats. The 4.7L is mated to a six-speed ZF box and has features aerodynamically designed to reduce drag even further.

This lovely low-mileage example finished in stunning silver coachwork is coming to market from ~1 year ownership. It presents in excellent condition and has just three former keeper registered, along with ~10,000 miles on the clock.

Joseph has always been attracted to the good looks and performance of the GranTurismo Sport. The car ticked all of his boxes and mentions that it does exactly what you would want in a GT.

He's enjoyed ownership of the GranTurismo Sport for the past 8 months, but after an opportunity for another sports car has arisen, he is bringing the GT to auction to fund his latest motoring venture. Head-turning Italian styling, the Sport model has that extra special look with aero reducing drag to 0.32.

Wheels and Tyres

Fitted with 20” seven-spoke GT alloys from the factory, the overall presentation of the wheels is very good. The paint and lacquer appear spotless with no areas of concern noticed. The wheels are wrapped in Pirelli P-Zero’s, the rears replaced 2 weeks ago, so plenty of tread for the new owner. The front tyres were replaced just before Joseph bought the car, so have covered less than ~1,500 miles.

Bodywork

The GranTurismo Sport offers refined sleek and sexy Italian styling, we really like the body shape of this car. All panel gaps look tight and correct on this example, just as you would expect for a modern high-performance sports car.

Being very picky, we notice a small mark on the rear bumper. During our visit we didn't spot any obvious dents etc down the flanks of the car, everything is crisp and sharp. We have taken hi-resolution images and videos of the car for you to assess the condition of the bodywork for yourselves.

Paint

Finished in an elegant silver, which really suits the aerodynamic shape along with the black front grille and sports detailing. The paint appeared in great condition on our visit, finished to a very high standard, with even coverage and colour across each panel as you would expect.

Again, please take time to review all the images and videos showing the paint from different angles and reflections, to assess the condition for yourselves.

Glass and Trim

The overall condition of the glass is very good, with no major marks or chips and scratches. The pieces of trim are complete and original, and the headlights appear clear throughout with no fogging noticed in the lens.

Interior

Red leather embossed luxury seats with detailed stitching line the cabin, a solid contrast to the silver coachwork.

Seats and Carpets

Fitted with fully electrically adjustable seats, all present in excellent condition, as you would expect from a low mileage example. The seats have retained their vibrancy and plumpness with little use. Of course, Neptunes Trident is embossed proudly on the headrests.

All carpets were cleaned in preparation for sale, along with the door cards and headlining. View the images and video to see the detail.

Dashboard

The dashboard is in excellent condition, in line with the age and mileage of the car. All of the switches, dials, and controls look to be great condition, with no major wear to note.

You'll see carbon fibre trim flourishes across the dashboard, centre console area and door cards continuing the "Sport" theme to this GT. Take a look at the photos and videos for a closer view of the cabin.

Steering Wheel / Gear Stick

A very functional steering wheel with all important paddle shifters, put you in full control of the 4.7L V8.

The steering wheel is finished in black leather, with various multi-media buttons a finger touch away, both the steering wheel and gear controls present in excellent condition. Please view the images for an extensive view.

Mechanics

The real star of the show, a revised 4.7L V8 offering 454BHP in a cacophony of sound.

Engine and Gearbox

Fitted with a sports 4.7L V8, until the lighter 'Stradale' was upgraded, the GranTurismo Sport was the most powerful car in the line-up; 0-60MPH in 4.8 seconds and a top speed of 188MPH.

Joseph reports the car starts from cold with no issues and drives well with its smooth seven-speed auto gearbox powering the rear wheels. Take a look at the mechanical video to see the car starting from cold, driving around town, and for a closer look underneath.

Suspension and Brakes

Large drilled Masarti brakes are fitted on this example with red callipers - and they all look really clean. Joseph reports that the car stops just as it should and mentions the car offers a firm and sporty ride that is comfortable enough for long tours and weekend breaks.

The Drive

Around the corners, Joseph reports, the car feels agile, especially for its size, and offers light yet very direct steering with well-controlled body roll.

With the option to put it into sports mode, a press of the button reveals its true colours... The throttle response and gear change speeds are adjusted, sharpened steering, and stiffer suspension. When the exhaust opens, it offers you an intoxicating soundtrack, you'll want to use it for all of your journeys!

Electrics and Other

All of the electrical items, the multi-functional computer, as well as the usual sensors, are fully operational, Joseph reports.

So much car on offer for the money, the GranTurismo Sport with the Ferrari-Maserati V8 was a masterstroke, this low owner low mileage example looks a great buy.

This car is coming out of 8 months of ownership with Joseph, a petrol head with a penchant for sports GTs. The originality of the car really attracted Joseph, he reports no modifications and only 1 previous owner.
