Meet the owner

My dad said everyone needs to own a V8 at some point – so I took his advice!

Dan has owned his E63 for ~1 year, it was one of those cars he wanted to enjoy before stepping into home ownership. “It’s been a fantastic car to own, and I have thoroughly enjoyed it; the performance, spec, and of course, the sound from the V8 is amazing".

While he knew homeownership would eventually take priority, he wanted to tick the E63 AMG off his dream car list before making that transition. Now, with the next chapter on the horizon, he reflects on the experience without regrets, grateful for the memories he created behind the wheel of one of AMG’s finest machines. Exterior

AMG took the E63 to the next level with some subtle yet aggressive styling tweaks.

Wheels and Tyres

Fitted with the factory 19" AMG wheels, they are all in excellent condition, having recently had a refresh due to some lacquer peel.

The Michelin Pilot Sport tyres are in good order with plenty of tread remaining. Please see the image gallery for more detailed images.

Bodywork

The bodywork on the E63 is in superb condition with no dings or dents spotted, and the panel gaps look to be visually equal and matching. The AMG body kit is a welcome addition to the E-Class, giving it a more aggressive/sporty look.

We've provided high-resolution images and videos detailing our observations, so please take the time to review all media files for a comprehensive view of the car’s condition.

Paint

Finished in "Diamond White Metallic" (799U), the paintwork presents extremely well. There are a couple of minor age-related stone chips, but nothing excessive. The gloss black trims are also in good condition with minimal signs of swirling, usually quite noticeable on the B-pillars, but not in this case.

Glass and Trim

As you would expect, all the windows appear in good condition. The rear half does have privacy glass, giving added security.

One of the many optional extras is the twin panoramic sunroof, which works as it should. All of the LED lights are in excellent condition with no damage to the lenses.

Interior

The luxury cockpit of the E63 AMG is a lovely place to navigate this rocket ship estate from.

Seats and Carpets

Finished in "Anthracite Nappa" leather, the electric memory seats in the Mercedes are in excellent condition with minimal signs of age. The door cards are also in good order, as is the back seat, which doesn’t appear to have seen a great amount of use.

The carpets throughout are spotless. In the cabin area, a set of all-weather mats is fitted. Inside the boot, the spare wheel, compressor, and relevant factory accessories are present and correct.

Dashboard

The dashboard is in good condition with no scuffs or damage. The leather dash is finished with "Black Ash Tree Wood" trim, which is all excellent. Starting the car, the instruments worked as they should, and there were no warning lights displayed.

Steering Wheel / Gear Stick

The leather sports steering wheel is in good condition, wrapped in black leather with red stitching and a red center marker at 12 o'clock. The automatic gear selector is finished in leather is in good condition sporting the Affalterbach logo, the paddle shifters on the back of the steering wheel are good too.

5.5-litres of turbocharged German precision engineering produces a wonderful ~557bhp.

Engine and Gearbox

You're in for a real treat whenever you start the E63 AMG! It sounds fantastic through the factory exhaust, which is also remarkably unobtrusive on the road; in fact just cruising along at 60mph, you’d never know there was a monster V8 under the bonnet – until you give the accelerator a firm press that is!

The engine runs smoothly, and no issues were reported by Dan. The automatic gearbox has a smooth change all the way through the range, and obviously, to say it pulls exceptionally well is an understatement.

Suspension and Brakes

Bringing the car to a stop are four huge drilled discs wrapped with AMG calipers that grip the discs tightly to stop the E63. The suspension is very advanced, having different levels of firmness depending on how you have set up the AMG function button.

The Drive

The Mercedes E63 AMG delivers an exhilarating driving experience, blending raw power with refined luxury. Under the bonnet, its handcrafted 5.5-litre twin-turbo V8 engine unleashes a staggering ~577bhp, capable of catapulting the car from 0-60 mph in just 3.5 seconds. Seamless, quick shifts through the seven-speed automatic gearbox as you pull away and hear the symphony from the V8, which burbles away nicely.

Believe it or not, the E63 AMG, despite its huge power output, is very user-friendly and a capable car around town just as much as being on a long-distance run or having fun on the twisty B-roads.

Electrics and Other

All of the switchgear within the E63 is in excellent condition, and all reported to be working correctly.

The spec list for the car is enormous. Some of the features include satellite navigation, Harman/Kardon sound system, automatic climate control, automatic high beam, dynamic LED headlights, active park assist, active blind spot assist, cruise control, heated memory seats, heated screen wash, dark tinted glass, and a panoramic roof – to name a few. There are plenty more things which will keep you entertained once you take ownership of this stunning E63 AMG.

History and Paperwork

Coming to market from ~1 year ownership, just 3 former keepers and full main dealer service history, this car is definitely befitting of the AMG badge.

The history file for the Mercedes is comprehensive, with previous invoices for main dealer services carried out, plus the online printout of the service history. There is a current MOT on the car, which is valid until 13.05.2025. As mentioned, the owner's manuals and two keys make up for a well-presented Mercedes E63.

    What is your reserve policy?

    A reserve is the minimum price that the seller will let the car go for. We work with sellers to set realistic reserves in line with market pricing – we don’t take on vehicles with unrealistic pricing. Reserve met / not met labeling may or may not be announced during the auction – this is just like a traditional auction house, i.e. bidders may only know when they’ve been successful at the end of the auction.

    If the reserve hasn’t been met at the end of the auction then we work with the highest bidder to try to work out a deal with the seller.

    Why shouldn’t I leave bidding to the last minute?

    Auto-Extending Bidding – we’ve developed auto-extending auctions that mimic traditional auction house bidding; it’s a key feature to make sure classic vehicles achieve their true worth. Bids placed in the last one minute automatically extend the auction by two further minutes. So there is no need to leave bidding to the last second.

    Security – we operate higher levels of security, so you may need to enter further authorisations against your stored card after you select ‘Place Bid’. All this takes time and may mean you miss the end of the auction by the time the authorisation passes. To guarantee your bid, we recommend at least five minutes are active on the auction when you place your bid.
